The many clear graphic exaamples of early manuscript letters and their formation are great for reference and learning. "Handwriting's" author demonstrates fine points of difference in the treatment of "s" and describes an interesting translation for "Ye". This will be a increasingly useful for all the handwritten census images coming on-line, ane will continue to be very helpful for accurately understanding our ancestors' wills, deeds and journals. A very handy book!
