Got this as a joke gift for Christmas, and I've used it for the past week straight for my nightly green tea. Works just as it should--set the timer and watch the beak descend--though I prefer pouring the hot water over the tea bag in the bottom of the mug rather than dropping the tea bag in from the top.

Ordered one as a gift for friend. She said it was better than expected since it actually worked and was surprised it didn't fling or lose the tea bag. The sad note is that it only worked that ONCE. She has since been unable to get it to work and has actually took it to be repaired but have been told the plastic parts are too brittle. Great stocking stuffer if you want something cute for the tea drinker but not to last.

PENGUIN TEA TIMER I wasn't expecting greatness but when you pay for a product it should arrive in working order. I got this as a gag gift for my wife for christmas but when she opened it, neither the timer or the retractable beak worked. The instructions state that one should turn it to "O" to drop the beak and then set the timer to desired time. The timer ticked twice then stopped dead in the water. It's looks are also less than whimsical. Junk.
