The cart seems sturdy enough and the canvas should hold up all right. However, suggest there be two people to do the assembly. It's not particularly easy and the instructions are poorly done and printed. Plus, I ended up missing two cotter pins. Also, there doesn't seem to be any way to keep the cart open for loading so you have to hold it with one hand to keep it from folding as you put the first items in. That seems a little unhandy unless you have two people.

I helped an elderly friend assemble this thing and I ended up taking it home after about an hour, so I could start over the next day. The enclosed instructions are Laughable at best. The item inventory and labeling is unreadable and the translation is like the Movie >i.e."Lost in Translation. When I finally did get it built the end result is Flimsy & Weak at best. The cotter keys hanging off the wheel ends are bound to snag on anything nearby. You could probably get a much sturdier cart at a better price from Walmart or Home Depot.

I would not recommend this as a gift unless you purposely want to put the recipient through the nightmare of assembly.

I purchase this product to help my husband bring in the groceries in 1 or 2 trips instead of several trips. The idea is good but the product itself has some flaws. The first thing is the assembly instructions. It is not very clear. The pictures don't help either. I am usually very good in assembling products. The assembly took longer than it should have. The other problem I had was the wheels dance on the axel. Don't know if it was an assembly error or that the product design was the culprit. I had to use several washers that I own in order to keep the wheels from dancing. Now I don't know if it can hold 300lbs. but it can take 6 to 7 bags of groceries with no problem.

As other reviewers stated, assembly of this cart is difficult at best and the instruction hard to understand (and this may still be too generous). The cotter keys that hold the wheels to the cart will not stay in place if the cart hits the smallest bump, so I can imagine myself running after strayed wheels quite frequently.

My biggest gripe, however, is that the cart does not stand on its own. There is nothing in the structure that holds the handle side of it up, so unless you have a full load of pretty tall boxes, I can't see how the handle is ever going to stay vertical. I put a couple gallon jugs of water to test it out, and the handle collapsed the second I let go of it. I should have noticed that the pictures on the box all have people holding the cart in a pull position, and none in a stand position.

I am getting this so I can have an extra hand to babysit my kid when I am grocery shopping, but this cart definitely needs more babysitting than my 2 year old. It is going right back to the store.
