The waistband is NOT the all-cotton, tagless, "Comfort Soft" version that is pictured and implied in the title. These have an old-fashioned rubbery waistband with an itchy tag. I've worn the Hanes tagless, all-cotton (ncluding the waistband) knit boxers for many years, and I know an imposter when I see it. This is the "Comfort Flex" waistband, not the "Comfort Soft" waistband. Hanes makes both types. The shorts themselves are all cotton, but not the itchy waistband that has "HANES" on it in giant letters all around the outside of the waistband. So, they're both uncomfortable and tacky looking. I'm bummed. Since Amazon is not making sure that the various versions of Hanes knit boxers are listed correctly, there is no way to get this order correct.

Buyers beware...This is the cheaper version...not 100% cotton. I did not realize it until after I bought it. It feels ok...not as good as the 100% cotton version though. In my opinion, the comfort waist band is a must have for all men's boxers. I would never switch brand.

This product is not as described. It is not tagless. It has the Comfort Flex waistband not the Comfort Soft waistband. Very expensive underwear to not get what you thought you were getting.

As several of the other reviews have stated the product you receive will likely not be the product described. The company I purchased from blamed the discrepancy on Amazon but gave me a refund and told me to keep the items (I donated them to charity because I just didn't want what I got). That vendor is no longer listed on the product.

So I decided to ask before I purchased from another vendor. I contacted each of the three other vendors (there is another company listed now as well as Amazon itself) and none of them could guarantee that the product would be delivered as described.

The two important attributes that aren't as described are 1)the waistband is comfort FLEX instead of comfort SOFT, and 2)they may not be 100% cotton.

Being curious I contacted Hanes and was informed that they no longer manufacture the comfort soft waistband so a vendor can only deliver as such if they have some in inventory.

It should also be noted that when you are viewing the product the title clearly includes "comfort soft waistband", however, when you place the item in your cart it only says "comfort" making it easy for the vendor to blame the description for the error as happened on my first purchase.

I informed Amazon of all of this and suggested that they remove this item as listed since the associated vendors are unable to deliver as described. Currently this product is still erroneously listed although as of today (8/23/11) the product picture has been changed; it now shows the comfort flex waistband style even though the title still says comfort soft waistband. In addition, there is a second listing for this product now which doesn't have all the unfavorable reviews.

I have since found the correct item at a local department store and although I had to pay more than listed here I got the exact product I expected.

Been using these boxers for a while now and I have to say, they are the most comfortable boxers I've owned. There is no itch from the waistband, nor do I get the uncomfortable ( riding up ) feeling commonly associated with boxers. These things are tough too. No wear spots or rips at all.

Only trouble is that they are quite expensive.

If you ask me, they are worth every penny.

Can't go wrong with these. Knit is so soft and the waistband is very comfortable. Perfect for everyday and are even comfortable when working out.

these boxers are as soft as a tee shirt. they are so comfy and nice. They don't ride up the stay in place the fly doesn't gap open and you have room to move in them.

A GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT MISREPRESENTED BY THE PICTURE ADVERTISEMENT. THE COLORS RECEIVED DO MATCH THOSE IN THE ASSORTMENT SHOWN AND I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THEM IF THE ACTUAL ITEMS WERE SHOWN. BE PREPARED!!!!! IT WAS A BAIT AND SWITCH DEAL!!!!

My son loves these boxers. He got 4, then ordered 4 more, saying, "These are the kind of underwear you wouldn't MIND getting for Christmas." For a 15 year-old who only wants gadgets and money, that is the best review I can give!!!

My teenage son really likes these--button fly prevents gaping, fabric is soft and fit is true. Last through many launderings.
