My busy 15-month old son has a problem keeping his socks on his feet. Either the socks are too small--he wears a size seven already!--or the elastic is too weak; the end result is bare feet and lost socks. He does not have this problem with these socks. The elastic keeps them firmly in place (without leaving marks). He's also had problems with slipping in other socks, but the raised Hanes logo and size information act as tread and keep him from slipping. Like another reviewer, I wasn't sure I wanted the sizing information printed on his socks, but it does serve a purpose. I'm happy with my purchase.

These socks have the words and size on the bottom of foot with gripping/non skid material. They have not over shrunk in the dryer, like 100% cotton socks tend to. They also have not lost their elasticity in over four months of wear.

These are super cute, not too thin, not too thick, and hug my 1 year-old's feet. When he outgrows them I will probably get the next size up.
