Although these are decent enough and a much more economical decision than buying individual pairs of panties, one thing was immediately obvious to me upon opening the package: none of these were uniform. I know that even for machines, some slight variation is to be expected - but come on, more than two inches difference in the waist between two pairs in the same package, both marked "size 5/S"? That's a little more than a "slight variation" - for me it's the difference between (comfortably) wearable or not, and so what I really paid for was only 5 pairs.

On the other hand, other reviews for similar Hanes products contain some even more dire findings, like pairs that were cut with an entirely different rise or that had one leg hugely different than the other...so I guess this wasn't entirely unexpected.

The point stands, though: buy these keeping in mind that you may get less than advertised.

Addendum: after ordering a second pack, I'd also like to note that you won't always get "3 white, 3 black". Instead, I got an "assorted" pack with 2 black, one pink, one cream, one brown, one tan. I don't particularly mind, since it was the same price and none of the colors are objectionable...it's the same basic product. Still, if you are ordering these specifically for black and white, you may be disappointed. (Or maybe they just ran out of stock...)

I've worn and loved Hanes cotton bikinis (various styles, including these, my every day go to set) for decades. They used to hold up very well, wash after wash, lasting year after year, even. It was a predictably decent purchase always, a reasonable price and a pretty good product. Not anymore.

I bought a package of these this season, and they fell a part after just the second week of my normal wear and wash routine. Nothing changed on my end, from water to detergent or machine or cycle. On the second time through, these are literally shredding at the elastic waistband. They are literally just coming a part! Horrible quality.

I gave Hanes the benefit of the doubt, thinking it was a poor manufacturing batch. So I purchased a second package of the same style, different prints. Same exact outcome. Disappointed in the wasted money.

I just can't count on Hanes to be dependable, reliable or of decent quality any more.

My recommendation: Don't buy them! Maybe even skip Hanes altogether now!

Would love these panties if they were cut correctly. In the pack I purchased, there were only two pair that actually fit right. The rest had one leg hole that was much larger than the other.

I own these but I don't wear them anymore, nor will I be buying more in the future. While they're very soft and come in pretty patterns, they don't stay put despite their claims. They don't have a very full coverage in the buttocks, which then leads to shifting and having to manually put them back into place. Sort of defeats the purpose of buying a "wedgie free" panty. My biggest complaint however, is that without fail, at least 1-2 pair in each pack is cut oddly or much smaller than the rest. Leaving me no choice other than to throw the pair(s) away. They don't do what they promise, and they cause me to waste money by having to discard brand new panties. Not a bargain in my opinion.

I have been buying Hanes underwear for years and have never had a quality issue. However, these underpants are so poorly made that 3 out of the 6 pair ripped within 21 days, all from flimsy sewing and insufficient seam size. They appeared insubstantial when I opened the package, so I didn't expect they would last more than a few months, but 3 weeks is inexcusable. Bottom line: choose the more expensive 3 pack, covered waistband type.

Description stated 3 white & 3 black panties--I got an assortment. Don't have the time to return, so I just kept it. Quality of the panties are good. I'm usually a size 8, but these are too large. You may want to order a size smaller.

I have purchased several packs of these underwear over the last 2-3 years. They are 100% cotton and stay in place both of which are important if you have sensitive skin. HOWEVER, I've bought all but one pack directly from Hanes online. The most recent pack i purchased through Amazon (through one of their vendors as they don't sell it directly), and although the package was not marked as such, it was clear that these were factory "seconds." Three of the six pairs are much smaller than the others and i will have to throw them away! It seems other commenters have had the same experience.

Although i love the convenience of Amazon, I will buy these from directly Hanes next time.

It is getting harder and harder to find well-made, long-lasting women's underwear. The brands we've depended on for decades, Fruit of the Loom and Hanes, are deteriorating in quality by the year, to the point that within a few more years they might as well be labeled "disposable" underwear meant to be worn once and then thrown away.

This pack does come with assorted "fashion" colors, which is nice, and there are six in the pack. But even if you hand-wash them, they will begin to fall apart after only five or six washings. The stitching on the elastic goes first, then the elastic itself begins to fray, then it loses all its stretch. After that, into the trash they go.

In order to get undies that last longer, unfortunately, a higher price has to be paid. So far brands like Jockey, which are about four-five times as expensive, do seem to last much more than four-five times as long. One model to look into is the Jockey Staycool Bikini. They cost about $6.00-8.00 per pair, so I suppose it is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for."

Wow, was I surprised when I unwrapped these. The fabric is really thin and doesn't seem like it will last very long at all. I am really disappointed about these. They seem like dollar store quality. Bad move Hanes. I feel ripped off. I have older Hanes Bikinis that last forever and are of much thicker cotton. These are not nearly the same quality.

I agree with the other posters. These have an amazing fit. They are very cute and stay in place. They do no seem to shrink after being washed either.
