These are ok. I have quite a few Starlightz and bought some of these cords to light them up with. These work fine, the fastening for the lightbulb is small so it works great with the Starlightz or any other small lantern you may have. However, the on/off switch is uncomfortably sharp to turn, as you must exert some pressure to turn it on and off. Also be sure to measure where you want to use them, 12' seems like a lot, but even with my low ceilings they are stretched a little bit. After I bought these I found a more superior option at the local IKEA for less $. Oh well.

I am just upset because, "Whirled Planet" claimed they had the real deal and not a cheap knock off. Well I was very disappointed when it came broken. Not I have to go through the hassle of returning this junk. It almost isn't worth my time to return it.

I ordered 3 for some paper lanterns I wanted to light up. They're quite bright and the price is right. One of the 3 arrived damaged, but only superficially. The plastic around where the bulb is happens to be very thin and it was cracked before I even opened it! Doesn't really matter that much since it won't be seen anyway. Also I agree with another reviewer that the switch on the cord could've been located further away on the cord from where the bulb is. Makes it inconvenient to turn on and off, so I end up just connecting the three to a power strip which I use to switch them all on.

I just wish it was 15' and not 12'. I put in a 5W CFL to make sure that it worked and it does. I am using it to hang in an upsidedown trashcan as a pendant light. Thanks to Pinterest, my light looks awesome. I'll post a picture real soon.

Can't tell if it works or not. 40 Watt doesn't fit and can't figure out what it will fit. It's too skinny for the 40 Watt won't fit any other watt bulb I have or can pick up in the store. What a waste of money

The cord could have been longer and the switch mechanism is somewhat stiff. Otherwise it appear to be a good product and should last for a while.

These worked great in my closets. The on/off switch is great as well to use as closet lights. Have tried battery lights before but they were just well too dim. Now I can use real light bulbs!

I got this product in 2 days Prime delivery. I installed it with Utilitech 23-Watt (100W) Medium Base Daylight CFB (Lowes $12 4-pack) and http://www.amazon.com/White-Chinese-japanese-Paper-Lanterns/dp/B007ILILCS/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top 4-pack costing about $14 from Amazon. The looks is exactly what I wanted. Brightens dark areas of my living room plus gives extra daylight for my forest of hanging window plants.

I thought the on/off switch would be a button, not a wheel. Other than that, it works just fine. I use mine to light the Japanese hanging lantern in my room.

The cord is nice but only if it works. The on/off switch connection is loose so if there is a slight bump or touch of the cord, then the item doesn't work. It took 4 weeks for this cord to arrive & when it finally arrived, the silly item didn't work.
