Product Description

2D-Glasses are a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for your 3D-addled eyeballs. Buy them. Gizmodo. These things are going to sell like crazy. Techland About 10% of Americans experience some form of discomfort while watching 3D movies and television. Symptoms range from a mild headache to severe nausea. 2D-Glasses are the solution. Glasses allow any RealD 3D movie to be viewed as if it is a normal two-dimensional movie. They were created so that Hank Green's wife could watch 3D movies together with him without getting a headache. Soon, Hank realized that they weren't the only people with this problem, so he made them available to help the rest of the population. Hank's wife loves them, and he hopes you will too. Frequently Asked Questions my girlfriend friend / husband / mom has a condition. Will 2D Glasses help them? If your friend or loved one can enjoy a regular movie, they can enjoy a 3D movie with 2D glasses. Will your 2D Glasses work with my home 3D television? Maybe. If your television uses "passive 3D" technology then they will work. Basically, if your 3D glasses have batteries and cost lots of money, our 2D glasses won't work for your 3D television. Do 2D Glasses work at IMAX theaters? Alas, no. IMAX uses a different technology than normal movie theaters so 2D-Glasses will not work at an IMAX theater, however over 85% of the 3D movies shown are viewed with RealD technology, which the 2D glasses are perfect for. How do 2D Glasses work? 2D Glasses block the same image with both lenses, so each eye gets the same picture resulting in a 2D image and an elimination of eyeball strain. Now You Can go to the Movies with Friends, See the 3D Film you all Want to Watch, and Enjoy it Without Walking out with a Throbbing Headache.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2D Glasses: Buy In Confidence May 8, 2011
Many of us are skeptics of 3D movies, and yet we still have times when we get dragged to 3D movies with fiends, lovers, or groups; or when a 3D showing may be the only thing available to us. Enter 2D Glasses, designed to turn the 3D image back into 2D. But do they work?

Well, based on my test screening, they work perfectly. I took them to a 3D screening of Thor, and had the theater-provided 3D glasses and the 2D glasses side by side. Thor has some really effective, pronounced 3D when viewed with the theater gasses, as did some of the previews. The 2D glasses were so good at flattening them back to 2D that I was really quite shocked. No residual blurriness (one of my big complaints about 3D is the sometimes blurry images), and really no hint at all that I wasn't looking at a "natively" 2D projection.

If you aren't a fan of 3D but feel like you just can't escape it, you can buy these in confidence.
