The HI 3221 is a multi-parameter bench meter for measuring pH, mV, ISE, and temperature.
The meter features a large backlit LCD screen with graphical instructions for calibration, and Hanna’s Cal-Check function which ensures proper calibration prior to taking a reading. Calibration is five-point, with either seven standard (1.68, 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, 10.01, 12.45) or five custom buffers, and a good laboratory practices feature also allows the user to view the last calibration data. The meter has a hold feature to freeze the display and records results, can log up to 400 samples, and has a USB connection for downloading data to Windows.
The meter has a pH range of -2.0 to 20.0; -2.00 to 20.00; -2.000 to 20.000 pH, + or - 0.1: 0.002 pH with resolution 0.1; 0.01; 0.001 pH. mV range is + or - 2000 mV, with accuracy 0.2 mV and resolution 0.1 mV. ISE range is 1.00 x 10-3 to 1.00 x 105 ppm, + or – 5% of reading (monovalent ions), + or - 1% of reading (divalent ions). Temperature compensation is manual or automatic from -20.0 to 120.0 degrees C(-4.0 to 248.0 degrees F). The device operates on a 12 VDC power adapter.
Hanna Instruments manufactures a wide variety of analytical instrumentation, including pH meters, multi-parameter meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. Founded in 1978, Hanna is headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, with subsidiaries in 32 countries. Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including a pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor, an electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and a replaceable electrode pH pocket tester. To ensure the quality of its products, Hanna is a vertically integrated manufacturer and does not subcontract any part of its manufacturing.
