The HI 931100N is a portable, water-resistant, ion-selective meter that uses the FC300B sodium electrode to read the salt (NaCl) content of solutions, and is suitable for lab or field use. One or two point calibration is automatic at 3.00 g/L and either 0.30 g/L (low range) or 30.0 g/L (high range). The meter measures four salinity ranges and auto ranges from sample to sample, allowing a wide range of measurements without recalibration. The HI 7662 temperature probe provides temperature readings from 0 to 80 degrees C. The FC300B and HI 7662 are sold separately, and are replaceable, which prolongs the life of the meter. If batteries become weak the large, dual-LCD display will notify the user.
Salinity range is 0.150 to 1.500; 1.50 to 15.00; 15.0 to 150.0; 150 to 300 g/L NaCl + or – 5% of reading (NaCl) at 20 degrees C, with a resolution of 0.001; 0.01; 0.1; 1 g/L NaCl. Temperature range is 0.0 to 80.0 degrees C + or – 0.5 degrees C, with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C. Input impedance is 1012 Ohm and the device operates on four 1.5V AA batteries. Dimensions are 196 x 80 x 60 mm/7.7” x 3.1” x 2.4” (H x W x D), and weighs 500 g (1.1 lb.).
