Product Description

The Hanna Instruments BL1.5-1 chemical feed dosing pump has a 1.5 liters per hour (LPH) output at a pressure of 13 bar and is suitable for use in industrial processes and manufacturing applications. A single knob adjusts fluid output from 0 to 100 percent. This pump accepts 115V, 50/60Hz input power and meets the Ingress Protection (IP65) standard for resistance to dirt and water.

Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.

I use this on my Aquarium with a controller. Has more control than most dosing pumps and therefore, I can add PH up or down in a very slow controlled way thus avoiding a "ringing effect" between PH rising and falling. I had no problem setting it up, however please note, it does not come with a wall socket plug, but used the instructions to find color code between neutral, hot and ground. Also, I used a 3/8 clear tubing in which the outside diameter was just a little bit too bit. It took just 2 seconds to carefully open the opening in the compression nut to fit.I only rated it a 4 because it does not self prime which would be useful when setting up or replacing a empty supply tank.
