I bought this to replace my Stenner pump that bit the ghost on my water filtration (chlorination/de-chlorination) system after 8 months. This pump works as advertised and couldn't be happier. It pumps, at full bore, the same amount of chlorine as the 400 dollar Stenner. The only thing, as with all plastics, DO NOT over tighten the connection hoses!!

Overall I'm happy with this product and recommend this to anyone replacing an older unit.

it just doesn't suck nor pump water. We tried to clean the tube, reverse the input/output, but it didnot work.

The motor noise indicates that it is moving, howevery the water just don't move

I bought one of these to supply waste automatic transmission fluid to the burner of my waste oil heater for my shop. The heater sits outside and heats water for an in-the-floor radiant heat system. I bought it and installed it in early January of 2012. It got me through last winter - 2 to 3 months - and most of this winter - another 4 months or so. Fortunately it survived a very cold month of January. But it absolutely must be kept above about 30 degrees or it won't pump reliably. I had to put a 40 watt utility light on it for heat.

It is a diaphragm pump that uses a solenoid to move the diaphragm. The adjustment simply changes the frequency of how often the solenoid is pulsed.

In early February this winter it failed. It got very erratic and at times would not pump at all. Since it was out of warranty and repair was as much as a new one, I ordered a new one from Amazon. It showed signs of the same problem almost immediately. It ran useably for about 2 weeks, then stopped. Fortunately we are at the end of the heating season. But it is a total failure.

It seems like a great little pump for the price but Hanna is having problems with quality control or durability of the electronics because this one is getting returned for a refund. I'm in the market this summer for a different brand.
