This is a fine and reasonably price Ph Meter. It is compact and ruggedly built. My intended use is for occasional checking on solutions. I was a bit surprised that the meter needed calibration solutions. (This is my first such device however)Even a relatively small number of such solutions was nearly $100. Not complaining, as the seller was very helpful but I just was not knowledgeable about the need for these solutions. Meter has worked as intended and given the results expected and needed.

Hi, This is the second instrument I have purchased and I found out that unless the PH electrode is kept wet failure is imminent. I don't know how long you will be able to keep the instrument HI98121 shelf but if too long you might receive all of them back. The one I received today was so dry the sponge was stuck to the bulb!

I have never bought a pH meter before, but after looking around settled on this one. It works great and does exactly what I needed. I bought it for measuring urine and saliva pH. I took the advice of others and did make sure to buy the 4.01 and 7.01 Buffer solutions for calibrating.

I'm sure that this meter is of great quality, if we could get it to work. Apparently we need several vials of different solutions and liquids and some calibrating for this meter to be used at all. Offering a "kit" that includes everything needed to use the device would be great. Or even offering the information on the product so that buyers have the opportunity to purchase all of the other necessary components would be helpful. I feel like items are sold here on Amazon without product information given, do they even know what they are selling? This is not my first time to encounter a situation like this on here, so pardon my frustration.

It was a bit slow for what I needed, which was to measure the alkalinity and ORP of the water from my water machine. For the price it was fine.

Very well designed unit, I have used these for years in the field and they last for a long time if properly cared for and treated with respect.

The order came in time they mentioned and it works well. But I have not yet have any negative ORP to measure. When measure ORP the digit goes very slow and not fixed any point and with the time passes machine get off, so can't have a consistent reading.

Pretty cool tool. Goes out of calibration fairly quickly; so you obviously need to re-calibrate it often. I use it to test my water results from X20 sachets for highly alkaline water and low ORP, actually gets to a negative (-) ORP which is awesome! [...]
