The HI 2212 is a pH and temperature benchtop meter suitable for lab use. The meter features pH and temperature probes, a large LCD screen, Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), and a calibration expiration reminder that can alert the user when too much time has elapsed since the last measurement. Calibration can be performed at up to three points using five standard (4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, 10.01) and two custom buffers, and calibration sachets are included. Temperature compensation can be manual or automatic with the HI 7662 temperature probe.
pH range is -2.00 to 16.00 (+ or - 0.01pH) with a resolution of 0.01 pH. Temperature range is -20.0 to 120.0 degrees C (- 4.0 to 248.0 degrees F) + or - 0.2 degrees C (excluding probe error) with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C. Input impedance is 1012 Ohm and the device operates on a 12 VDC adapter. Dimensions are 235 x 222 x 109 mm (9.2” x 8.7” x 4.3”), and weighs 1.3 kg (2.9 lbs.).
pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists.
Hanna Instruments manufactures a wide variety of analytical instrumentation, including pH meters, multi-parameter meters, electrodes, chemical reagents and buffer solutions. Founded in 1978, Hanna is headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, with subsidiaries in 32 countries. Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including the world’s first pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor, electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and replaceable electrode pH pocket tester. To ensure the quality of its products, Hanna is a vertically integrated manufacturer and does not subcontract any part of its manufacturing.
