A few days ago, I received from Hanna a box with a new set of reagents and a small bottle of their deionized water. I promptly performed a test and then double checked it with my Red Sea test kit. The results were the same. I then, just to make sure, performed three additonal tests. They all were consistent. So, I thank Hanna for replacing and reforming the reagents. The kit in and of itself is very, very easy. The main thing was the reagents, so hopefully, things will continue to hold up well..
The bottom line is, after getting results that were off by more than 100 ppm, how could I ever trust this kit again? I couldn't. I returned it. And, I'm not the only one. Countless others are having the same problem with this product.
Let me finish by saying that I like what Hanna does. I think their alkalinity checker is superb and I use it exclusively. I really wanted a way to test calcium easily and accurately, but I suppose I'll have to keep waiting.

Followed instructions that came with product and even looked a Hanna YouTube video and still got WILD ranging results. I'll stick to API or Salifert.Published 19 days ago by Randall F.
