Book Description

Tales are written of times ago in which Gods and Goddesses graced this world, leaving legend of great heroes- Immortals of Olympus. But if immortal they be, where are the Olympians? A young girl, already on the edge, is about to find out.Time is torn and age-old myth becomes but words in the small, American town of Stansfield, where mortals rule, kings and queens of modern make hold the greatest courts, stories you thought over begin once more, and where it is fast learned that no matter the place in history- when there is power, there is battle to command it.

Charles Eagen Lord is the author of the Gods of Olympus fantasy fiction series, beginning with the young adult paranormal action adventure story- "Hannah and the Gods of Olympus". He lives on Long Island, NY and has a bachelor's degree from Long Island University. "Hannah and the Gods of Olympus" is Lord's first published work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excited for future installments! July 16, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was was a fantastic story! It had a fun mix of intriguing characters and a twisting plot. It was a enjoyable read. The scenery was described extremely vividly. The hues exploded off of the literary canvas. Trust me, you will see the skies of My Olympus, and feel the rain soak you. It's the perfect length for summer reading. Teens and teens at heart will both enjoy this story. Hannah and the Gods of Olympus has strong female characters that I can't wait for my daughter to read about. The story at the core is about Hannah and Persephone. Both trying to figure out how they each fit into worlds that were not of their making. Do yourself a favor, and pick this book up while at this price!

I was completely surprise how good this book was. The characters were well developed and the plot well executed. I highly recommend this book to any Greek Mythology lovers!! Extremely entertaining!! The only downfall I have with the book is that it was too short... but overall, a great find and read!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Tale for All Times July 17, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A riveting tale of two worlds, one of the immortal realm of the high and mighty, another of the earth, of the mundane. The twain should never meet, you might think, but in the midst runs a common theme: two young maidens with no where to turn find solace in each other. United by a common struggle to find their place, to come to grips with their despair, with twists and turns along the way. The author brilliantly weaves the two worlds together, alternating each chapter between one and the other, with glimpses of a world beyond the confines of their own, that offers hope for a brighter future. This author targets a certain type of audience, who fancies a tale larger than life with well developed characters who come and go, in a venue unlike our own, with plenty of intrigue and an intricate plot to keep the avid reader engaged.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it-start reading-you won't put down!!! July 16, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
OMG. Just finished Divergent series and was looking for a new book. Heard about this and started to read. Only half way through and stopped to tell all my friends to read. I can't wait to find out what happens to Hannah and Persephone but also don't want it to end. Hope Mr. Lord is ready to release next book.

The writing has my imagination going. There's a story of friendship, rivalry, power, parenting, heartache and The Gods, of course. BTW, Being Greek, I am hyper-critical of Greek Mythology so Good Job and Thank you! Okay have to run so I can get back to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Triumphant! July 16, 2014
By Melissa
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This tale is exciting, like battle, neither easy or obvious. Hannah confronts obstacles along her path both physical and emotional and at every turn. Every time readers may think she’s been written into a corner, Hannah pulls off a twist that, while surprising, will keep you turning pages furiously. Triumphant.
