5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Soundtrack!, April 21, 2011

This review is from: Hannah & Her Sisters (Audio CD)
I have loved this movie and the music in it since the very first time I saw it. I'm so thrilled to have the soundtrack now. I've seen the movie so many times that as I listen to the each cut, I can imagine what scene it's from in my mind. Woody Allen has such good taste in music. He's an accomplished jazz musician himself! One of the jewels on this album is Bobby Short's version of "I'm in Love Again". Bobby Short was a very well known New York singer/pianist and a three time Grammy nominee. Another delightful cut is "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered" sung by Lloyd Nolan and Maureen O'Sullivan, who play Hannah's parents in the movie. While their performance is not exactly on key, it is nonetheless charming as an older couple still in love, despite life's bumpy road. The rest of the album is a wonderful mixture of Cole Porter, swing, jazz, classical, and chamber music. The only thing left out is the song by the punk rock band that appears in one scene. This is such a fabulous soundtrack. I don't know why I didn't buy it earlier!
