3.0 out of 5 stars Good game for young girls
Good game for young girls. Definitely not an adult game. Can dance and shop with Hannah. What else would a little girl want to do?

My husband and I purchased the game for our daughters the other day and they simply will NOT stop playing it! Our two oldest girls (eight and six years old) love the concert performances, the music and the shopping sprees! In fact, my oldest girl completes the concerts and wins points that you use to purchase clothes. Then, my middle girl goes shopping throughout the world to buy items that Hannah can change into before every performance (they are quite a team)! The game really does an excellent great job of capturing the look and humor of the show. The graphics are great and the girls never get tired of watching the in-game movies and dances. The other wonderful thing about the game is that my youngest (two years old) never feels left out since she loves Hannah's music and can always be found dancing along to her sister's concerts. Since Hannah's most popular songs from both her albums are included, this game truly seems like the perfect Christmas present for all Hannah fans! If you have one (or more) in your household, you MUST get this game!

The joy my 9 year old step-daughter Taylor is getting out of this game is overwhelming. She has or wants anything to do with Hannah Montana.

She gives me updates on each acivity that she does on the game. From what I've seen, it will take a long time to do everything.

Great fun for the price, and good exercise on those days when the weather doesn't permit outside play.

This is an awesome dance game mixed with fashion, shopping, and guitar playing! It's like Dance Dance Revolution except you dance with your arms instead of your feet. The dance moves include air guitar, clapping, mixing it up, pointing, swaying, and lots more. There are over 15 Hannah Montana songs each with unique choreography.

Players can change Hannah's outfit as much as they want, mix and match. They also get to shop for new stuff in Paris, London, Tokyo, Cairo, New York, etc.. They can buy clothes, hats, shoes, boots, scarves, necklaces, earrings, belts, dresses, skirts, tights, leggings, vests, jackets, headbands, bracelets, etc. Parents don't have to worry because all of the possible combinations are modest. Unlike some of the other teenie bopper games, Hannah has found a way to be very wholesome and pure while still maintaining a fashionable and trend-setting style.

This game is fun for Hannah fans AND their parents because its challenging for all skill levels. Difficulty levels include: Star, Superstar and Diva. There are also multiplayer modes so that kids can play with their best friends or challenge them to a dance-off.

I was one of the designers and developers of this game so I held many focus testing groups with boys and girls from the age of 4 to 13. I can honestly say that every single kid had a blast! Not only the kids with the controllers, but all the friends and parents watching too. The stage shows, lighting, props, along with Hannah (in 3-D form) dancing and singing on all the elaborate stages gave the kids the feeling that they were actually at a Hannah concert. On top of that, the kids with the controllers actually felt like they were Hannah performing for their adoring fans! Seriously, you won't go wrong if you buy this game for your kids.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dance and shop with Hannah, fun and active game for tween girls., February 6, 2008

I bought this game for my 9 year old daughter, who loves it as she gets to dance with Hannah. This game makes very good use of the Wii remote and nanchuck and is an active role play game, you get a fun workout while playing this game.

The game is pretty simple. You learn a few dance moves which are done holding the Wii remote in the right hand and the nanchuk in the left hand - for e.g. point, wave, hands up/down or out, wave, clap, play guitar action, touch your heart, swirl. Then you're off to dance with Hannah, or rather as Hannah! What fun!

If you can follow all the moves correctly then you get more fans (or points) to shop for shoes, clothes, bags, etc. The tour begins in New York and you can go to Rio, Rome, Paris, London, Tokyo, Malibu, Moscow etc. Each time you play well you unlock a new city where Hannah performs and shops. During the shopping spree Hannah also poses for pictures, signs autographs and plays guitar. My daughter finds the posing really fun!

The songs on this game are the highlight of the game - they are the same as on the CD:
1. Best of both worlds
2. Pumpin' up the party
3. Make Some Noise
4. Old Blue Jeans
5. This is the Life
6. I Got Nerve
7. Just Like You
8. If We Were a Movie
9. One in a Million
10. Bigger Than Us
11. You & Me Together
12. True Friend
13. The Other Side of Me
14. Who Said
15. Life's What You Make It
16. Nobody's Perfect
The dance moves that go along with the songs are also nice and go well with the songs. Each time you get points you unlock new songs.

I find the dancing the most fun, the shopping also provides a nice activity between the more active dance performances. The first level is Star, the second Super-Star and the third is Diva level by which the dance moves give you an aerobic work-out, especially if you stay on your feet and mimic Hannah's footwork as well as her hand movements.
There is also an option to go into a Dance-off mode (against another player) or Free Play mode.

Any Hannah Montana fan between 4 and 14 will enjoy this game! The 7-12 year olds will absolutely love it, as they are the prime audience for the Hannah Montana show. As for adults, I find this game more fun and often join my daughter, although she beats me hollow.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game for the right person, December 8, 2007
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour (Video Game)
After trying numerous games to get my daughter interested in the Wii, I finally found one. My daughter loves this game, which is a type of "dance dance revolution" game only using the wiimote + numchuck instead of a dance pad, and with some "shopping & dressing" on the side. My 12 yr old son saw the game, rolled his eyes and went to his room. His friends came over, saw the game, and -- get this -- started playing! And they were having a blast! I got some good blackmail footage on the camera ;-)

My son joined in a few hours later "just to find out what's so great about it", and he seems to be having fun with it too. After two days of ownership (largely ignored on day 1) there's already a combined 9 hours of playtime into it. The songs are great (appears to be around 16 songs)

Technical problems with it: 1) Many times it will not read the "move" even though you've done it. 2) Odd problems with walking around, such as not being able to go places you expect to be able to go. 3) Graphics are OK, not great. In general, the developer could definitely have done a better job, and if it wasn't Hannah Montana as the subject, this game would not be able to compete on its own merits.

But the positives for those who love Hannah far outweigh the negatives, making this a worthwhile game for the Hannah Montana fan. If you're not a fan, look for other games in this genre instead.

If this is helpful to anyone, my 9 year old has been having a blast with this game since I brought it home the other day. She enjoys Hannah Montana and the game is very fun for her. I personally dont see the fun, but she sure does.

If your child is a fan of the latest pop sensation then this is a must have game for your house! Your child will be rocking out with Hannah as she tours the world. Probably the best part of the game is the interactive dance moves you help Hannah with on stage, however some of them can be hard to remember for a six year old. The shopping scene are pretty intuitive and while they aren't much fun for me as an adult that is the best part of the game for your child. All in all I would highly recommend this game for girls who love to rock!

I got this Wii game with the hope that my 4 year old daughter would find enjoyment. We have one of the princess Wii games, and her favorite part of the game is dressing up the princess in different clothes.

I hit the jackpot. I helped her out the first time or two with understanding the 'dance' moves - you get blue (right) or pink (left) icons that indicate a move (point right arm up, point left hand to the side), and as the icon rolls across a certain point, you move the Wii-mote or nunchuck in that way. If you get it just right, you get credit. The timing is important, you don't want to be too early or too late. You do your concert and get rated on a 5-star scale as to how perfect you hit the moves, and you earn shopping credits. Then you get to shop and get more pieces to dress Hannah in.

You can also style her hair, too.

It is absolutely perfect for my 4 year old, who had practically never heard of Hannah Montana before this. She is learning the songs, beginning to sing to them as she does the 'dance' movements, and she's getting a lot of activity with all the extra jumps she's putting into the movement. It's exactly the game that I hoped it would be.

I wasn't sure about this game and only bought it because it was on sale, but I was pleasantly surprised. My girls (11 and 13 years old) have the Hannah Montana DS game and only played with it a few hours and declared it "boring". But they really like this game. It has a lot of dancing (which they love) and the Hannah music and dressing Hannah up. Its one of their favorite games still after about 2 months! I would say this game is best for ages 7-13. Its WAY too hard for my advanced 4 year old.

My 7 year old daughter got this game for Christmas and barely gets to play it since my 11 year old son keeps hogging it. ( And he is an ultimate "jock" ) You start out in New York in Hannah's dressing room. You can change her hair and wardrobe but the choices are limited at first until you earn points to go shopping. You then go to rehearsal where you learn your new dance moves and practice them before going off to perform your concert where you do your moves based on the symbols going across the bottom of the screen.
Hannah dances on screen performing the same moves you are doing. When you pass your "review" ( 3 stars or better out of 5 ) you score points that go in your shopping bag. You can then go to the mall to shop. My daughter loves this the most. As you progress and perform all your songs in your concert, you unlock new cities with more opportunites to unlock more songs and shopping venues.
You also will unlock more dance modes. Star mode is basic and great for a 7 year old. Super Star mode is a bit more advanced, perfect for 40 year old Mom, and Diva mode is really advanced, for 11 year old son who has lots of rhythem.
We all of course know all of Hannah's songs since my daughter plays them all the time. We have stayed up past midnight several nights trying to get the next song or a new city.
Another nice thing is you can start a new game and go all the way back to the beginning or continue with the game you were playing that had all your songs and cities unlocked.
The music is great and the moves are really in rhythem to the songs. Its a great aerobics work out and really gets your heart rate going. Great upper body workout. And its lots of fun too.
The only negative thing I could possibly say is we cannot get the air guitar move to register when we perform our songs and always lose points by getting "misses". We may just be guitar challanged.... :)
