5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Ending to a Wonderful Series!, November 2, 2010
This review is from: Hannah Montana: Who Is Hannah Montana (DVD)
Wow!!! My daughter and I (41 year old female) both love the Hannah Montana Series. We are really going to miss it. But all great things must come to an end sometime. That being said this is an excellent DVD. It is will worth the money so just ignore that other reveiw. Just to see the last episode, which is a double episode, so 60 minutes long, before it airs, makes it all worth it. Also comes with five more bonus episodes, including the very first episode. My only complaint is I would have loved to have seen Ashly, Amber, Ricco, Sara's and all the rest of Miley's classmates reactions when she reveals she is really Hannah Montana. All in all it is a wonderful ending to a series that will be truly missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Match the theme of DVD, November 1, 2010

This review is from: Hannah Montana: Who Is Hannah Montana (DVD)
The main episode is the 2-part "I'll Always Remember You." It is a full copy of the highly anticipated episode for Miley to remove her wig on Jay Leno's Tonight Show. This featured episode is simply fantastic.

There are 6 other episodes chosen:

2. De-Do-Do-Do, Da-Don't-Don't-Don't Tell My Secret! (Season 4)
3. Ready, Set, Don't Drive (Season 3)
4. Achy Jakey Heart Part 1 and 2
5. Miley, Get Your Gum (Season 1)
6. Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secrete (Pilot episode)

Season 4 episodes are higher in quality (resolution) than previous season episodes. The common theme of all episodes is someone would be told of the Hannah secret. All are standard 4:3, so if you have wide-screen TV make sure it's showing in 4:3 or else everything will be stretched.

While the compilation is nicely done, the bonus features section is very misleading. No interviews or any special feature related to the show. Only a sneak Peek of Sharpay. Other so-called "bonus features" include the standard Disney promotions like Dylan & Cole Sprouse: Blu-Ray is Suite, and Disney digital copy that you'll find in just about every other Disney DVD/Blu-ray. I wouldn't consider them bonus material.

Nothing on this disc is exclusive. It's just one of the yet-another-theme-based episode collection. Would be worth a lot more to collectors if all episodes are packaged in one, but certainly the featured episode itself is worth collecting. It's that good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Awesome, November 6, 2010

This review is from: Hannah Montana: Who Is Hannah Montana (DVD)
I am an adult but I have always enjoyed the Hannah Montana series and watch it with my nieces. This DVD was awesome and it was a perfect episode to futher the story in the series.

It contains 7 episodes including the latest episode where she decides whether to reveal herself to the world as Miley Stewart. All of the episodes have a common thread- Miley reveals her secret to someone. In many of the episodes, you can see how the Hannah secret affects the people in her life- sometimes negatively. The main episode deals with how the Hannah secret and her double life is now affecting Miley and her future. The episode is incredible and I think it did an awesome job of showing the audience Miley's dilemma and her decision whether to end that chapter of her life. The moment of truth was vbery emotional and i did tear up because I was moved.

If I have any negative comment it would be that I got tired of the Jackson/ Sierra/ Rico singing breaks. This was cute the first time in the prom episode but I am sick of it now. Good thing I could fast forward through these. Also, I wish there could have been more to the episode. I am dying to see what happens next and to see how the series will end.

I too hate how production companies are putting out skimpy DVDs with only a few episodoes of a series. However, in this case, this was a themed DVD and the real value was getting the episode where Miley makes the big decision. Getting that before the air date, as well as having all these themed episodes, made this well worth the price.

1.0 out of 5 stars waste of money, October 24, 2010
This review is from: Hannah Montana: Who Is Hannah Montana (DVD)
I'm sorry to say this. But Disney is milking the living heck out of Hannah Montana... not even so on Miley herself but the character. This DVD is not worth a get in my books. If Disney would start putting volumes or season out on DVD then that's a great buy. But these type of DVD are not worth it. 10 to 15 bucks for 45 min ep, maybe a extra tv ep, a music video, behind the scene or so. I'll pass.
