The story begins with the arrival of Ben, the photographer, and his pony, Charlie. As it progresses, we meet crabby Miss Kane, the beloved Jerry-the-Cop, and the children's concerned mothers. Before the camera clicks, we discover how Charlie earned his silver heart. Then we watch as Hannah's wish comes true. Memories are made that outlast this period in history. This book was the Runner-Up Award Winner at CIPA's 2004 Writers Contest.
