"Hanna's Quick & Easy Vegan Cookbook: 50 Trouble-Free Recipes" is an excellent collection of 50 100% vegan breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and party recipes that range from the homey and casual (vegan green eggs and ham, black bean burgers, vegan mac & cheese) to the fancified (zucchini leek pie, orange cashew velvet soup). There is also a truly vegan French onion soup recipe I am dying to try - I've been looking for a good veg version of that dish for a long time! This would make a terrific first vegan cookbook for someone just starting down the meat-free path. Not only does each recipe list the ingredients required and clear cooking directions, the author also lists the kitchen implements (mixing bowl, knives, skillet, etc) required for preparation, so they can all be gathered in advance. That would be very handy for folks just getting their sea-legs in the kitchen!

I was looking for an "Easy" vegan cookbook to use during pregnancy, but i felt some of the ingredients weren't one people actually keep in their house. I was looking for quick and easy, and got complicated and expensive.

I feel Hanna's books have been giving me a vegan education. I particularly appreciate the precision in the instructions. So often recipes leave one with ambiguity, but that is never so with Hanna's work. The results are delicious, and I find I am becoming quite confident about this way of eating and preparing the food. Happily, my friends are also enjoying these recipes and I have--despite having been to two Thanksgiving dinners a couple of weeks ago--been losing weight. That seemed to happen without effort.

This is a great Vegan recipe collection! Easy to read and understand. Good variety of recipes for every meal. Great book for beginners or anyone trying to switch to a more vegan lifestyle. Great photos and directions. A great addition to any collection.

Even the simplest thing has 10 or more ingredients and quantities will feed a crowd. You will go all over town looking for these oddball ingredients, then never use them again.
