not quite as bad as first expected,
By Matt Jones "matt jones" (England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hannicap Circus (Audio CD)
i usually listen to an album with an open mind, but to be very honest i was expecting this to be one of the worst hiphop albums ever made. it is far from a good album, but still listenable nonetheless.
firstly, don't expect the best track to be 'hiphop' featuring eminem. it is not. true, em's verse stands out from the mediocre bizarre ones, but in terms of em standard, his verse is very very average and does not save the track. now that's out the way, lets review the rest of the album. 'bad day' is a pretty funny remake of the ice cube classic, but this shows how uncapable bizarre is to come up with much original material, shown again in 'let the record skip', which chorus is taken off 'under the influence' from the marshall mathers lp. most of the first 15 tracks are not good at all, from the annoying 'rockstar' to the simply appalling 'crush on you' and 'f**k your life'. the saving graces tend to come towards the end (bearing in mind the amazon tracklist is wrong). 'porno bitches' is nothing special, but picks up with decent guest spots from devin the dude and big boi. 'gospel weed song' you cant help but sing along to, and is overall a pretty cool song. the only two songs that made me want to hit the repeat button were 'doctor doctor' with funny verses from bizzy and a tight verse from obie trice, and the suprsingly heart-felt 'homecoming' featuring kuniva - which shows that besides all the disgustingly weird lyrics bizarre does actually have a heart. despite a few saving graces though, I would still recommend avoiding this album - it is really not worth your money. wait a while until you find it in a bargain bucket (probably pretty soon as it dropped out the top 100 after 2 weeks) - or download the worthy songs.

Same Old, But Funny Enough,
By TheShadoX "Hey, i know good music when i hear... (Reading, Uk) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hannicap Circus (Audio CD)
Now bizarre has never been my fave D12 member, but he proves he can hold his own on the solocut. only problem is, he tries to shock so much, it isnt even shocking anymore. Its just stupid.
The (Intro) is probably the best song, lyricall, on the whole album, with a nice beat to back it up. Sure, the words themselves are more 'expect it from him' type, but he carries it off quite well. A tribute to weed arrives right after in 'Gospel Weed Song', with the 'fat shower cap wearing' maniac thanking god for the stuff, in what is not a great chorus, but not a bad one either. The lyrics are, as always, slowish, but dont seem to be as explicit as his other stuff, and the mellowness of this song may confuse you to where bizarre is heading. All confusion is lost as soon as (F*ck Your Life) comes on. Bizarre drops wierdness and sickness you'd expect from the D12 albums, with a catchy chorus that should be played at full volume. Expect lesbains, rapists, and nappy rashes to be included. Bizarre drops more madness on (Let The Record Skip) with a cameo from Young Miles boasting his G'ness, while bizarre continues about how he got aids 'And ill probably be dead/By the end of the song'. The song seems to go so quick, and as soon as you realize its 2:45, you know why. (Im In Love Witchu) has a great beat, and some great lyrics, in comparision to most things that splurt out of bizarres mouth. The lines of the first two verses all start with 'I like the fact that...' as bizarre express his feelings about someone, then ends with a complete change as bizarre tells how 'he hates the fact that...'. Very wierd but it works. The first single is next (Rockstar) - about how bizarre lives a rockstars life. Forget it. It sucks. I have never heard of King Gordy, or Stick Man, but they seem to feature, along with Swift on (Ghetto Music). The song starts with a laid back bizarre, doing what he does (best?). the chorus,(King Gordy, i think) isnt that bad, and has Swift coming next. He doesnt make a memorable verse, but sure outdoes bizarre. Finnally, (Stick Man) takes the helm, and manages to give the best verse, but take note: that isnt saying much.(Life Styles) is an interlude, with a simple guitar tune in the backround, and someone explaining a life in the day of bizarre. It doesnt contribute but gives a small insight to the guy's life. (Im So Cool)has such a great beat, you wish it didnt have these lyrics on it. A faliure from bizarre. The next track starts with bizarre watching porn, then breaks into the song which features (And by now you will have realized bizarre has all the cameos to hide how he cant really rap) two great rappers, Devin The Dude (Remeber him from Chronic 2001) and Big Boi (Outkast are AMAZING). the subject isnt hard to figure out, as the three talk about being horny teenagers, etc. (Porno Bitches) is not bad. (Crush On You) doesnt seem to have any rapping, and is clearly a filler track. Weak beat aswell, which suprised me. The follow up, (I Need A Friend) seems to be his 'Kim' (Marshall Mathers LP) as he drives into a darker topic about how his life just sucks. The lyrics arent up to par, as usual but the good beat makes sure it gets a second listen. (One Chance) deserves to be the next single. bizarre isnt focusing on making silly things up, that rhyme, but rather explains how he sacrificed alot to do what he always wanted - Become a hip hop star. This song actually gave me a hope that the last part of his album would be the best. I didnt doubt it when i heard (Hip Hop) which featured Eminem. As usual, Eminem killed the track, and from both artists, the words were very listenable and told a good story. But the best was yet to come. The albums shine-out track was definently (Doctor Doctor) with obie trice. Great beat, great lyrics, and bizarre actually pulled of the ' say some weird stuff for effect' plan. Obie gave a great verse too, with the line that stuck in my head - 'God sent a message when i came back negative/ never f*ck a bitch in the ass of a laxative. (Coming Home) is diffrent to everything else on the album, a very personal track, directed to the family of whoever was rapping. This included Kuniva, and a good chorus from Rapheal Saadiq. The whole D12 posse gathered for the last track, Minus Eminem, (Nuthin At All) but it seemed too much like it would rather be on D12 world. Still, it was ok for an outro. If albums were rated on just the instrumentals, this could get a five star. But since it is a rap album, you have to consider the rapping. And the rapping was average. 3 Stars. Peace Hadi

Pretty Average,

A Average CD and some what lukewarm CD. It will be on many peoples worst of list but it is interesting because it is what the name of the rapper and the CD cover shows. It is not as bad as you would think but it's not really good.2.5 to 3 Mics
