Not exactly honest.

It's even better than the Asus monitor, which was also advertising a 2ms refresh rate.

I'm a heavy gamer and a power user, so I like having the best equipment I can afford on my home computer. I had purchased an Asus VE248H-P monitor ([...]) to replace a 32" LCD LG 1080P Television, as I wanted an LED backlit screen. I sit about 2.5-3 feet away from the screen, so 32" is a bit large, but I found that 24" was a bit small. I was not happy with the 24" monitor, for several reasons, so I returned it and purchased this monitor in its place.

It is a very suitable replacement, with a very clear and clean image. I have it connected via DVI, not HDMI. I have never used an IPS monitor, so I cannot make a true comparison, but this monitor has the best picture quality of any that I have ever had. The LG TV has a PC mode, so the image was fairly crisp, and extremely large, but this image is even better. This monitor seems perfect for the distance. I still feel like it is a large screen, but I don't find my eyes darting across the surface, as I can take in the entire image without refocusing. This is also true while playing games.

The refresh rate seems fantastic, and I haven't seen any sign of ghosting or any other problems. It's even better than the Asus monitor, which was also advertising a 2ms refresh rate. This monitor also arrived with no stuck or dead pixels.

It can be used as a television as well as a monitor, as it has a PC mode or a Video mode option in the on screen menu. It also has very decent color options, however I don't usually change those settings very much. It definitely has HDMI, DVI, VGA, and Stereo inputs. There are no other inputs, so if you need a cable coaxial input, then you would need something to convert the signal to DVI or HDMI.

To me this is a Hanns G monitor. That is actually the name on it. I have other Hanns G monitors, 2 24" and 1 28". They have all been great. No dead pixels, plug and play, and little picture adjustment needed. A lot of monitors around this price point have people complaining about the sturdiness of the stand. This stand seems very sturdy to me. The picture is excellent; clear and with good color. I consider this monitor to be a very good value.

I received this monitor today, and so far, I am thoroughly impressed.

Great picture, evenly distributed light, no bleed through , and no dead/stuck pixels.

Took a little while to get the picture just right, but I have no complaints about ghosting, color, or response time.

The reason I took off a star is due to the manual not accurately stating how to attach the base (the screw must be taken out and then replaced after the base has been attached), and for the Amazon description being incorrect. There is no mention of HDMI, and it states that the response time is 5ms, when it is 2ms.

Great monitor for the price!

When my Hanns G 28" monitor died after 6 years of pretty heavy use, I decided to replace with these (I got two). The big advantage is the price -- these monitors are the cheapest you will find. Colors are good, and text is sharp. Also, to clear up some confusion in the reviews, these monitors DO have an HDMI input, and they DO adjust (but only to tile up to 15 degrees, not up and down).

Nonetheless, there are some downsides. People who wrote that the base is flimsy are correct. The stand on the old Hanns G 28" was much sturdier and more adjustable. The colors on the Hanns G 28" were somehow a bit warmer and more pleasing. Also, the monitor is covered with ugly stickers (which I notice they leave off of the display picture), including one saying it is designed for Windows 7, and two environmental stickers (hint: it is even more environmentally friendly not to put needless stickers on). The worst sticker is a really intrusive one at the bottom left that says "warranty void" (if the sticker is removed) and wraps around underneath. It is really ugly.

So basically I am taking off one star for flimsiness and another star for ugly stickers and colors that are slightly harsh, but am adding one back on for good value.

Great monitor, owned 24 inch HannsG before, need to add one for kid. Bought this one and no regret.
LED back light is brighter than the one before.
No dead pixel.

Though not the best speaker, use external one in stead.

These are all excellent and have a great warranty. Keep the box in case you have to ship it for repair. We have only had to have one repaired in several years and it was still under warranty. They are excellent. As good as any brand we have used for monitors.

We use good graphics cards which makes a difference. I highly recommend this product. I am no longer monitor challenged and can see everything I am working on. We have dual monitors at our work stations and find no discernible difference in these and the Viewsonic.

I was looking for a cheap 27" monitor for my home office but when I got this it was not what I had expected. What was shipped to me was a different model and it did NOT have the HDMI connection that I was looking for. Apparently this has happened to other buyers based on the reviews I read and since the product was not shipped from Amazon directly they could not guarantee that I would not get the incorrect model again if I returned the item and re-ordered. Kudos to Amazon though, because they immediately refunded the purchase and gave me a small discount on my next purchase for my trouble. With customer service like that I will keep shopping Amazon....
