Distinctively European in its spare, modern design, the Hannspree Zurich 23-inch LCD TV is HD-ready and offers a stylish counterpoint for any room in your home. It features textured surfaces of polished chrome and woven metal mesh covering the speakers and vent holes on the back. Other features include an integrated stand and control buttons with polished chrome finish. It has a built-in NTSC, 180-channel standard television tuner, but is capable of displaying high definition signals with an optional HD receiver. It also offers such typical TV features as V-chip parental controls and closed captioning. Additionally, it offers a CompactFlash memory card reader, enabling you to show JPEG slideshows and listen to MP3 music directly from CF media.
This state-of-the-art LCD TV offers consistent color tone, clear contrast values, and natural, life-like details. The 23-inch screen has an 1280 by 768-pixel resolution, 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio (great for watching DVD movies), and a 170-degree horizontal/vertical viewing angle. The screen has a 25 millisecond (ms) response time, brightness rating of 500 cd/m2 (candela per square meter), and a 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)
The 3D Y/C digital comb filter analyzes consecutive scanning lines within a field as well as the preceding and following fields. This results in improved detail and color purity, a more stable video image, and nearly eliminating dot crawl and color bleeding. Other features include DCDi (Directional Correlation Deinterlacing) digital enhancement for improvement of low-resolution images, highly accurate 10-bit video processing, and ADC and gamma correction technologies. This TV has a pair of built-in stereo speakers that produce 5 watts per channel (10 watts total) and is compatible with SRS TruSurround virtual surround sound as well as EALA 3D surround sound enhancement. It includes 2 S-Video, 2 composite (RCA A/V), and 1 component video inputs as well as a DVI video input, which can be connected to an digital set-top receivers (such as HDTV-capable satellite and cable boxes) or a compatible PC. It also provides a headphone jack for private viewing. It comes with a fashionably square, fully functional remote control.
