5.0 out of 5 stars For Danny Kaye Fans, November 27, 2000
This review is from: Hans Christian Andersen (1952 Film) / The Court Jester (1956 Film) [2 on 1] (Audio CD)
This CD has the music from my two favorite Danny Kaye films. I think any Danny Kaye fan would love this. The CD sound quality is about as good as any old record album (in other words, it's not digitally recorded) but considering the age of the films, it is really remarkable. I spent a long time looking at Danny Kaye cd song lists ("best of"s and so on) and found that these movie song tracks really covered many of the songs I remember. Listening to this cd I could picture the movies, and the memories of the Court Jester scene, when Mr. Kaye was actually pretending to be a jester made me laugh out loud. Of course the Inch worm song and the Emperors new clothes songs brought back those childhood stories in a very poignant way. I would recommend this for all Danny Kaye fans.
