Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Over the course of two very personal conversations, Hans Ulrich Obrist and Wolfgang Tillmans discuss the photographer's work, his changing artistic vision and various thematic pursuits since the 1980s. Tillmans' recent book Manual is discussed in detail, as are cultural and social topics like AIDS.

About the Author
Hans-Ulrich Obrist was born in 1968 in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1993, he founded the Museum Robert Walser and began to run the Migrateurs program at the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris where he served as a Curator for contemporary art. He presently serves as the Co-Director of Exhibitions and Programs and Director of International Projects at the Serpentine Gallery, London.

Wolfgang Tillmans is one of the most influential artists of his generation. Born in Germany and based in London, he was the winner of the Turner Prize in 2000. He is represented in New York by Andrea Rosen Gallery. He has had recent solo exhibitions at P.S. 1 in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles and the Hirshhorn Museum, Washington, D.C.
