I bought this thinking it would help organize my workbench, but it's really a rather large item and if you get several of different sizes, you can easily fill half of your drawer space trying to store your sockets. If your socket set didn't come with a "briefcase" type storage case and you have a large garage and work area, these are fine, but if you have a compact space or need to travel with your sockets at all, consider other options.

First, I'm an engineer and professional contractor. I bought these to organize my new Husky socket sets. The items are, in no particular order:

1) top heavy
2) too tall to fit in most standard roll-cab or tool drawers
3) easily breakable plastic
4) must be secured by drilling (!) holes in cabinet (thus voiding your box warranty).
5) impossible to read socket size market at odd angle on spindle & so poor quality paint that will likely rub off in a short time.

From time to time, a guy is offering solid anodized aluminum socket organizers (holds 120) on eBay for about $60. Superior quality for not much more than the equivalent cost with this junk. The only reason I am not returning is because the shipping/handling charges are not refundable - and equal to 35% of what I paid. This product really deserved a ZERO STAR rating - but Amazon doesn't have that available.

Have both metric and SAE, now it makes for a quick trip to the tool box to pick the correct socked without searching and trying to read the size I want.
