We got this for our 3 yr old daughter for Christmas, she loved it! I'm a grown woman and I enjoyed putting all the furniture out and "decorating" the house with my daughter. I read reviews on other sites that stated the quality was not as they had expected but I found it was very nice, sturdy, well constructed and much, much better than other dollhouses were were looking at. You get what you pay for with this dollhouse. Some of the furniture pieces are tiny and we did have to put those away since we have a baby that puts everything in his mouth. Hoping he grows out of that phase soon so we can get all those intricate pieces back out! If you want to spend the money on a nice dollhouse, this is the way to go!

I was disapointed when I opened the box and could not identify the birch plywood(It must be in some insignificant part or inside of something). The floors are particle board with a very very paper thin veneer of bamboo on top. I'm pretty sure the walls are painted particle board too. Maybe they use the birch to make the paperboard but that's not plywood.

The furniture was cute and looked to be well made.

I wished it was better made, sadly I returned the item. I loved the idea of buying a toy made from sustainable materials but I also wanted one that would possibly hold up a couple generations or at least the span of time that my child finds dollhouses interesting and not something considered disposable. I worry this one wouldn't stand the time or durability. Paperboard is one of the cheapest and weakest materials they could have used. I like occasionally wiping toys down, especially around flu season. Paperboard doesn't do well with that. For being one of the most expensive of camparable dollhouses (at the moment) it is not made with quality materials.

There are better quality products out there with a lower price tag. Too bad they dont come with a solar panel.
