Great Product, Great Fun,

This is a well engineered product; I cannot call it a toy because it is much much more than that. After building just one of the sample setups I was able to put down the manual and start creatively designing and building my own. My daughter (3.5 years old) loves it. She really likes placing a marble on the run when I tell her its time to "test it", and I let her identify the error. The only marbles that have fallen off the track are due to construction errors by myself. After 1 day (and several of our own setups) we already find ourselves wanting more pieces. I suggest buying the largest set from the get go if you have an engineering type mind or just enjoy puzzles. Nice feature to note : the coloring of the blocks is logical; each color has its own unique function(s).

Well made (and no batteries required!)and fun for the whole family. Younger kids (under 8) will need the help of an adult but this is as much fun for adults as it is for kids! If this is too expensive for your wallet try one of the smaller sets. I think it would be just as much fun as the big set. This is a toy that will be saved and handed down to the next generation.

My 6- (almost 7)-year-old absolutely loves this toy. I thought it would be up his alley as he loves to construct elaborate train tracks and such, but I didn't anticipate just how much he would enjoy making marble runs and how creative he could be with them. I think he is at the perfect age for this toy, because he is old enough to understand the different parts and how they differ from one another...a younger child would probably need some parental help distinguishing between the diffent types of blocks.
This toy has an ingenious feature, which is that the box has a guide for where all the pieces go when you put the toy away. It makes putting the toy away easy and kind of fun. My only complaint is that already after two weeks my son feels as though the set doesn't have enough pieces. Luckily his birthday is in another two weeks so maybe we'll buy an expansion set.

I researched all the marble toys, and while it was down to this or Haba, my 6 yo son chose this because of the colors and the spirals (which he said were "super cool". Even though it is more expensive than the plastic marble runs, it is well worth it.
While I think haba might work better for 4&5 yo's because of the easier set up, I think this toy is better for 6 and up, and more likely to be used as they get older. Great for problem solving, spatial relations , and for putting a real lot of marbles through so they go down super fast! The day we got it we set it up on the living room table, and it has not been put away yet!

i did my homework when buying a marble run for a 5 year old. this is all wooden, very sturdy, and comes with enough twists and turns to satisfy the resident marble run maker (and his 8 year old brother) for hours! ideal for any kid who likes legos, magnatiles (also a great toy!!), knex, etc. even the grandpa jumped in and played with it over the holiday! it's pricey, but worth the investment.

This is, bar none, the most brilliant toy imaginable. Both of my kids AND my husband and I are compeltely and totally obsessed with it. Once you start, an hour or two can fly by in the blink of an eye. You can't stop! There are endless possibilities and you REALLY have to THINK your way through designing the various slides, especially if you go off the beaten path and try to design your own. A GREAT brain expander for the kids. Incredible creative thinking builder.
It is truly so complex, I am a desinger, so these kinds of things come naturally to me...designing, sculptural problem solving, but whoever designed this is a genius.

We bought this toy for our grandchildren. This is a quality made toy which will last in our family and will stay at our house when the grandchildren come to visit. We feel that as they grow, their creativity and involvement with this will grow as well, commensurate with their cognitive development. The box says it is for ages 4-99 and we believe it!

We bought this for our kids for the Christmas of '06. They absolutely love it. They love making their own marble runs and this product helps them figure out how to make them. It comes with a bunch of designs in the box and also has a DVD that explains a bit more on how to enjoy the Quadrilla.
The box is all color coded and has pictures so putting the toy away is a breeze, even for younger kids. Overall, I highly recommend this product. It is a bit pricey, but the quality is worth the cost.

My six year old loved this christmas present. He and his four year old sister spent several hours christmas day racing to load more marbles on the track. I get to help contruct and reconstruct the different patterns, which I also enjoy. This is a high quality and fun toy.

I bought this toy for my son when he was three years old. At that age he did not have nearly the coordination to build a run by himself and also had a bad habit of knocking down the taller, more complex runs when trying to add new marbles. I was hoping/thinking this would be a sturdier version of the snap together plastic marble runs which he was largely able to construct and play with by himself. It is a beautiful set and as long as I am willing to build the runs and repair them when they fall he does enjoy sending the marbles racing down for time on end. I would estimate that this marble run would have to wait until he is possibly six or seven until he could enjoy it independently. If your child is that old I'm sure they will love it, and continue to enjoy it until they are much older. Younger children still enjoy the fun but need help to make it work.
