4.0 out of 5 stars Very cute..., February 13, 2005
This review is from: Sh*T Happens 2005 (Page-A-Day Calendars) (Paperback)
A very thoughtful friend of mine bought this for me over the winter vacation. I've been in the doldrums and feeling down with the ups and, mostly, downs of life. The calendar gives a daily story about someone else's extremely bad day (or some historical person's comment on bad days and misery in general.) You'd think with the subject matter it would be depressing, but, overall, it's funny and light-hearted regarding the subject matter. I certainly appreciate getting perspective and getting a laugh on a daily basis.

When you get the calendar you also get customer access to the Page-A-Day website where you can enter a code to get a calendar emailed to you everyday. I chose to have the Fact or Crap calendar emailed to me. It's fun too. Essentially, they present you with a statement and you have to decide whether it's true or not. So far I think I rank in the 75-80% range of being correct. But every now and they get me or pick a topic that I just don't know enough about to make an educated guess and I end up learning something new.

I'd recommend it as a good gift as it gives you value for your money and the recipient gets two calendars. One for their desk and the other via email. It's a cute gift.
