A very good page turner,
By
This review is from: It Happens in Threes (Paperback)
It Happens In Threes starts out like the action with the firing of the gun at the start of the New York Marathon. There is enough action in the book to make it a real page turner. Of course, some of the book has more heat than a locker room at halftime of a big game. The book ends like a "Hail Mary" pass completed and ending the football game.Overall, a good read with plenty of action and romance.

What a great story! Romance and action that will keep you glued to the pages to find out what happens next. What might seem like an obvious ending turns into something quite different and that was a nice surprise!! Gotta love a book that when you get to the end of the chapter, you still can't close the book! Onto Killer Bunny Hill now......Can't wait!

This book is like an action flick, erotic love story, romantic comedy and crime drama all rolled into one! I love it when it's obvious that the author knows what she's talking about, and that's definitely true in this case. The technical and procedural details are spot-on and startlingly realistic, and the sex scenes are white hot! Throw in vivid descriptions of to-die-for locations and some of the snappiest dialogue around, and it makes for one enjoyable read. Looking forward to more!

Boy can this girl write. Her books will keep you on your toes from the moment you open the book, until you finish the very last word. Once you start to read, you will not want to put it down. She is right up there with Susan Wiggs, LuAnn Rice, and Barbara Delinsky, she's got what it takes.I have just finished Killer Bunny Hill, and that was just as good as her first, maybe better. I can't wait to read #3.Kudos Denise.... you are one of the best new authors around. There is only one problem... I read faster than you can write. Kepp them coming and I will keep on reading... This book was AWESOME!! I was not sure I was going to like this kind of book; however, all my friends told me how good it was. Well, they were right. Once I go into it I could not put it down. I am am mom of three so it is hard to find time, but I did and was so thankful for it. From begining to end it keep me wanting more. I have already gotten her next book and can't wait to start reading it. Again, it was a GREAT book and would recommend it to anyone.

A suspense packed romance!,

Michael and Ruby have had an on again off again attraction that ended in them being good friends. Different reasons bring them both together again in Florida. Ruby is there to escape an obsessive ex-fiance and Michael is there to find his ex-partner. Ruby's computer expertise could help Michael and his secret government agency track a dangerous criminal. They both soon find out that passion as explosive as theirs can bring them a lifetime of happiness or heartache. The sexual tension between them carries this story as much as the suspenseful spy mystery plot.

IT HAPPENS IN THREES is an awesome read. It has a little of everything to keep the reader intrigued with some very surprising turn of events.I sat on the edge of my chair while Denise was describing some underwater scenes while Michael and Ruby were scuba diving (not by choice) A very enjoyable book. I finished IT HAPPENS IN THREES last night, and geesh, can this woman write a sex scene or what?! My boyfriend thinks I should read it more often, and that it will be a bestseller. ;) It's got romance, it's got intrigue, it's got sharks - how can you go wrong?-Carmen Shirkey, Author of THE LIST

I have to admit that I normally don't read contemporary romances but the combination of romance and a technology suspense peaked my interest in this book. I really liked Ruby and liked how she was able to kick some butt when she needed to instead of always waiting around for some brawny guy to save her. Ruby nicknames one of Michael's colleagues a neanderthal but I think that description more suited Michael. I know he loves Ruby but geez some of his actions would make me want to smack him too.The story line was great and the ending was not quite what I expected which was a nice surprise. Although at one point I was yelling in my head for Michael to pull up picture of Ruby's ex-fiancee because duh! as Mr. Agentman he should have picked up on that clue way sooner (you will understand once you start reading the book). I would highly suggest this book to anyone who likes a good suspense book thrown together with a little romance. I am also hoping to see Michael's friend, Jacob, as the main character in a future book! |
