4.0 out of 5 stars Great read. January 12, 2005
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Excellent read for fans of Drew Barrymore. This book shows the hard times she has had in her life and the new beginning that has been brought about. Drew is a very talented actress, and I'm sure she will be around for a very long time.

BTW, Gerry Hixon...after reading your message I checked out your other reviews, I must say I actually laughed out loud...funny guy!

2.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT recommend December 29, 2012

This book reads like a glorified Teeny-Bopper Magazine article. There is no depth. The authors act as if Drew Barrymore was/is THE hottest person in Hollywood, for instance "..considering that it was her scene in Scream that launched the whole teen-power movement in the first place..." really? she was in Scream for 5 minutes. Drew is way over-glorified in this book, it reads like a PR campaign. Don't get me wrong, I like Drew, obviously, I bought the book to learn more about her life, who she is, what her childhood was really like, you won't find that in this book. I think the most amateur part of this book though is the picture inserts. There are 6 pages of pictures. The last full page of pictures are of her and Tom Green with the caption "the man of her dreams" yet the relationship between Drew and Tom is nowhere to be found in the book. In fact, Tom Green's name (with the exception of the picture caption) is never even mentioned in the book, so why include those pictures? I would still like to find a comprehensive look at the 'real' Drew, but take my advice, try a different book, there's nothing in here you haven't already read in Teen Magazine. Do NOT recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars drew December 29, 2003

I love Drew. Very positive person throughout all her battles. So I had to get this book. I loved everything about it except it did not discuss her being bisexual at all. Minor disappointment, but its very informative and positive towards Drew and her life.
