4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book
I have read this book, and find it very interesting, and informative. It is worth the read for those who are thinking about marraige to a woman from Russia, Ukraine, etc.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Pleasant Little Book
This small paperback is not very detailed or specific, and it is clumsily written. However, it also contains some valuable information. This small paperback is not very detailed or specific, and it is clumsily written. However, it also contains some valuable information. Once you get through the "Ah-shucks" tone and digest the author's apparent reluctance to learn Russian, there's a lot of information, certainly enough to justify the low price. But "war and Peace" it is not. Also the gritty details are often absent. It feels like this book is what you would read if you went out to dinner with the author and his wife. Interesting, but not enough....

3.0 out of 5 stars How to survive marriage to a Russian woman, January 14, 2005
This review is from: How to Happily Survive Marriage to a Russian Woman (Paperback)
The books is too small. Author wrote about two yeas of his marriage. Two years is not enough to write a book. Frank Coleman in his TO RUSSIA FOR LOVE book provided more dating sites. Bill writes that his wife might write a book about her experiences with an American man. Loo late. Oksana Leslie already wrote her book HOW TO SURVIVE IN INTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE about her adjustment in USA during 6 years.

2.0 out of 5 stars It's all right, September 2, 2005
This review is from: How to Happily Survive Marriage to a Russian Woman (Paperback)
Well, it's a true story of one particular international relationship/marriage, and those are always helpful if you want to get a picture of what it's like. However, the book is not very detailed and poorly written. It will help in the process of educating oneself on the subject, but you will definitely need to read other books.

This is something of a one man's "how to" manual for finding and marrying a Russian woman. I believe that it provides some very useful information and asks some inportant questions. It is also quite limited in it's range and scope.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: How to Happily Survive Marriage to a Russian Woman (Paperback)
I started reading these marriage agency catalogs back in 1994 and during that time there were not many books or any that existed at all that spoke about this interesting sphere. But i am glad books on this subject are popping up today in 2005....They provide you with a perspective as to how the clock works....in the end, it is all luck, and if you get lucky in marrying Russian woman good for you but many of the men that go to Russia and the other FSU countries come back empty handed. Sometimes God decides that ones fate is not in finding and marrying a Russian female. Get this book and get all of them on this subject because the more you know the better. Who knows? Maybe this book might encourage you to take a trip to Russia and find the love of your life. I will be honest but as an American who was born here, this country is a weird place when it comes to finding a female for marriage.

This is my father's book, no joke. My father is well-educated. For anyone looking to marry a Russian woman, this book is a must read.
