"Dusk Till Dawn" and "Darkside" are unbelievably great songs. This is one of the best Industrial/Electro-metal/Gothic rock albums I have heard yet. The only real downfall to this album is the Extended cover of Thriller by Michael Jackson. I personally think it could have been better, & on that note is the only let down to the actual album. The rest of the songs are great. The album was definitely worth waiting for...

I am a huge fan of Gothic Metal and it's haunting melodies and dark and often sinful lyrics. I am as well just as big a fan of the experimental and head bang worthy brutality of the Industrial Metal scene. So when I heard this album I was completely speechless at how they blended both styles so well into one well oiled machine. Needless to say this very well could be the definitive album of "How to mix Goth and Industrial Metal".

The album starts off with the Technoish synth work on 'Dusk Til Dawn' but soon the drums kick in and are followed by a ripping riff that begins one of the best tracks on the album. Gothminister uses a deep Gothic style of vocalizing that is audible and then when the anthematic chorus hits he switches to an audible yell. The track later turns to a riff fest and ends with the same energy it began with, making it easily a stand out track on the album.

Slower tracks such as the sludge rocker "Freak" show a stronger use of the atmospheric Gothic style in the slower paced vocals and hauntingly melodic Kayboards. The final track of the album is the exceptional cover of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' which utilizes the deep vocals and down tuned guitar riffs making it quite a stark comparison to Jackson's far more upbeat original.

I can definitely see why one would compare Rammstein to Gothminister as they use nearly identical lower tuned riffing but I think that is an unfair comparison. Rammstein have never attempted to include any sort of Gothic atmosphere into their music as Gothminister does so flawlessly. Regardless seeing as how I myself am a fan of Rammstein I can recommend this album to fans.

All in all this band stands apart of the crowd of bands attempting to utilize both styles of Goth and Industrial simply by doing it better. The album definitely is more up beat the common Gothic Metal and so I would safely say this album is more inclined to be enjoyed by more Industrial fans then Gothic. Overall an amazing album from start to end and is deserving an audience. Fans of this might also be interested in the albums below as their are fair comparisons to the overall sound and style of Happiness In Darkness.

And impressive band coming out form an electro metal era and keeping more metal the album. Great digipack for fans who want to hear Thriller in the Gothminister way. Overall I give this a 10/10 superb!!!
