Matthew Ryan is one of the best singer-songwriters performing today. His music and lyrics will move you. I guarantee it. FYI, this album is essentially a collection of songs that appeared on two other albums that were self-released by Ryan: 2002's "Dissent from the Living Room" and 2003's "Hopeless to Hopeful." Those albums are long out-of-print, so if you can't get your hands on them, this collection is a nice way to go.

Beautiful like a kick in the teeth. Not for the casual music fan. This will change you.
