Book Description

This book will empower you to discover your authentic self and achieve a happiness that’s practical, actionable, and sustainable.

This book is for you if:

You are serious about discovering your authentic self, regardless of what you might find
You are tired of fluffy self-help books big on ideas and theories and short on practical examples and exercises
You really want to be happy and are ready to work for it
You are willing and ready to step outside your comfort zone and experience something amazing
You are more likely to believe someone that's experienced the same pain as you

There are a lot of books on happiness. But what does it truly mean to be happy? Many suggest we simply need to manifest things in our lives like love, gratitude, and purpose and that living "in the moment" is the key to happiness. But how exactly do we do that? Come on, throw us a freaking bone!

This book IS the bone.

With professional, friendly, and engaging style, Jared shares through heart-wrenching testimony, massive action, and years of study and observation, how to discover your authentic self and build a foundational acceptance of who you are and how to be happy from the inside out. Happiness for the Practical Mind provides a road map to a happiness that transcends all beliefs and backgrounds. This book reveals—regardless of your past or current circumstances—that’s it's your birthright to be happy and how to achieve it.

In a powerful yet caring way, Happiness for the Practical Mind shows you exactly what the problem is. You! Yet as the book reveals, this is the most empowering lesson of all; for you now have access to the solution. Jared's writing style is clear and concise yet retains a personalized flair, making the content extremely accessible. A must read for anyone serious about finding inner-peace, emotional connectedness, self-acceptance, and happiness.

From the Back Cover

What frustrates me more than anything is all the advice people out there are giving about how to be happy. Things like: be grateful, live in the now, surrender, stop judging others, lower expectations, do what you love... It's all the same thing just said in different ways.

And although I agree these are all important keys to happiness, we've heard it already, we know! My question was: how do I stop judging others or lower expectations? Huh?

How exactly do I do that? Show me!

That's what this book is: a practical guide of actions that, if followed, will result in a happier, more peaceful way of living. I guarantee that if you follow the keys, steps, and suggestions in this book, your life will change.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book! September 5, 2012
I read this book in under two hours! It's well-written, straight forward, funny, insightful and easy to follow. I wouldn't even describe myself as remotely unhappy, but I picked it up and found many practical ways to handle situations and emotions that we all can relate to. This book is different than most because it actually gives you examples of HOW to be happier and appreciate life, rather than just telling you to be happier and enjoy life more like the majority of self-help or spiritual books. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and would 100% recommend it to everyone, happy or unhappy. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll relate, and most importantly you will walk away with actual tools on how to live a more appreciative and fulfilling life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must read.... June 24, 2012
I did not expect much when I first purchased this book because I thought it will be just like many other books - full of theory and concept; but I bought it anyway because I think the author deserves it since he has dedicated his time in helping many others in finding their happiness through his website. However, when reading his book, I suddenly realized many new things about my true self that I never knew before. I felt that this book is very practical and concise as if the author knew me and my condition very well. It is very easy to understand and to apply. I found it is very, very helpful because everything in this book came from his own painful and experience like mine. Reading it, I can feel that he has put all his heart into this book and all the best of his intention to help people finding their own happiness. I really like this book and would recommend people to read it. It has helped me see my direction and give me guidance on what to do on the way to my happiness. I hope it will help you too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple Guide to Happiness June 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
It was a joy to read Happiness for the Practical Mind. The book is a guide that takes you through to steps of finding your authentic self and finding happiness.

The author starts with a look into his own troubled life and then the steps he took, and now teaches, to find fulfillment. There is a lot of self awareness work to be done, and practical steps for meditation, right through to how to deal with negative people.

I'm glad to have found this book - it was a great read.
