A Revolutionary CD,
By "bpstyles" (Yonkers, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Happy 2b Hardcore, Chapter 1 (Audio CD)
. . . for many American techno fans. While we have to hear mainstream techno and dance on our radios, Europe is overflowing with music that makes techno feel like slow jazz. Maniacally fast and heavy beats, ambient keyboards, catchy choruses, and plain-ol feel good, bounce-around cuts made this CD my first foray into Happy Hardcore . . . and the reason I hardly ever listen to anything on the radio.

Best CD,
By Charles (New Orleans, LA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Happy 2b Hardcore, Chapter 1 (Audio CD)
This is by far the best cd I have bought. All of the songs on this cd have great fast pumping rhythms. One song that i particularly like is "wanting to get high" by Hixxy, the song has a great chorus in the back ground and is full of energy. If you like techno with fast breakbeat rhythms then i recommend that you by this cd.

The first in this style that I have ever owned.,
This review is from: Happy 2b Hardcore, Chapter 1 (Audio CD)
I originally purchased this CD in early 1997. I have been listening to techno for many years but this was the first of the verging 'Happy Hardcore' style that I had ever purchased. It was a blind buy, as I call them. I actually was intrigued buy the artwork. I was very pleased with what I heard inside. I am a Techno Junkie and I tend to be a little bit picky about what I like. Somtimes electronic music seems to boarder line on just being loud noise. This CD was nothing like that. This CD is as fast as some of the Hardcore Industrial Techno, without all the anger. It is very upbeat and non-violent. The only aspect that makes it hardcore is the speed of the beat. In some cases it is as fast as 140 BPM. (Beats per minute) It is continual mix with some real bass punching power. The best track on the CD has got to be #14) "Evolution - Let the Music." Before this CD I had never recognized Moonshine Music or DJ Anabolic Frolic as a 'must purchase.' I have now sought them both out and learned that they both have some amazing music to their credit. This is a must have if you like fast paced, happy, DJ mixed Techno. Definitely check it out.
