I had a bunch of kids read this book and they loved that a child was speaking to them! It's a refreshing book. The grown-ups in charge of the book have let little Duncan's voice come through. Very nice!

"Happy About Animals" is great - there are lots of colorful pictures and Duncan has a quirky writing style that will crack you up. As a mom to two boys, this is the kind of book they would love - written by a kid, full of facts, interesting details and humor. Give it as a gift to any child - it will keep them laughing and reading at the same time!

Perfect...finally a book for kids written by a kid. My daughter, going on 6, loves the book's vibrant pictures and is finding it a joy to learn to read.
