5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly Simple Career Advice, August 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Happy About The Career Alphabet: An A-Z Primer for Job Seekers of All Ages *800+ Fast & Easy Tweet-Style Tips* (Paperback)
I love this little book. Billie Sucher has crammed a ton of wisdom into 150 pages. The format is innovative -- 800 tweets about what it takes to find your dream job, arranged in alphabetical order.

Here are a couple of my faves...

A Appearance: You get one chance to shine in an interview. Always dazzle your audience with these three Ps -- professionalism, positivity, preparedness.

H Helpfulness: Helpfulness comes with no expectations, no conditions, and no paybacks. When you help others success, you'll be more successful!

M Mistakes: Life is a series of sweet success and mind-bending mistakes. Learn from both and go on.

S Sucks: Make a list of what sucks about your job search. What can you do about it?

See what I mean. Billie provides great advice with a sense of humor. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. Do your friends a favor a buy copies for them

As a law student and job seeker myself, Happy About The Career Alphabet provided me more beneficial job-seeking information in a couple of hours than I received in three years of working with the career services department at my law school. Don't be fooled by its simplicity - this book is full of information that will inform, inspire, and ensure you come out of your next interview with a job! You MUST read this book!
