4.0 out of 5 stars How do you get your 'Happy Ever After'?, June 25, 2006
This review is from: Happy Ever After (Definitions) (Paperback)
This is a really great book. I'll be honest with you, I randomly picked it from a shelf at a bookstore because i needed something to read. It turned out to be interesting, though, and i liked it because it was deep without being too serious. none of you probably know what i mean, but whatever. do your best.

there are three stories in this, but they are actually more like one story where the person being the narrator changes. it is pretty much told in order. At the beginning, it seemed like the story was going to be boring and descriptive, which i hate, but it gets interesting quickly, trust me. i love it when authors take a story and rewrite it in a way where you can figure out the parallels between them, but there is still new stuff in the book. if you don't like this, i'd stay clear of this book.

the story pretty much shows how you have to get through obstacles so that you can be happy ever after and how it doesn't always last. it puts reality into fairy tales and makes them believeable so that you can relate to them more easily. i'm only 14, by the way, so if you've finished school you're looking in the wrong place for a book!!!

my favourite section is megan's (repunzel) at the beginning. the others are just as good, though. alice's is a bit depressing, emotional and at some times slow, but it's the most suspenseful. you want to get past the slow bits to see what happens, so you don't stop reading. bella's is...the most violent, probably, but not scary at all. it's a good one to end with. definitely read this book!! (unless you fall under the catagory i mentioned before).
