If you are looking for a gift to give for a first wedding anniversary and you want to stay with the traditional gift of paper, this is the book. It is also a great gift for any wedding anniversary of a special couple you know. I often pick up this book & it reminds me of my first anniversary and the many after it & to come. I love the quaint poems and it is the place I go to find out what the traditional gift is for our next anniversary. I highly recommend this book for your spouse, family and friends. I purchase one for every 1st wedding anniversary of each couple I know.

I collect books of this sort, yet, I just discovered this book, "Happy Anniversary" Throughout,Molly Blayney shows skill in the art of creating collages with ephemera. She configures vignettes and ornamental frames to envelop the text, which is a compilation of 19th century words of counsel on romance, courtship, marriage and anniversaries. As an enthusiast, I strongly recommend this book. It's a virtual "How to" for scrapbookers, but a treat for the uninitiated as well, who will delight in its charm and aesthetic appeal.

What a beguiling book! The visuals and words charm, with the sense of being authentically from the heart, then refined and presented as a true gift.
