I thought Beatles for Babies was an excellent idea as a gift. I recieved it when my son was about one month old. It soothed him as well as me. If you like the Beatles this is a perfect way to listen to adult music, songs that you would recognize, in a lullaby tone. I highly recomend this product for the days you are not getting sleep. It will sooth baby and you. I would also listen to it in the car, sometimes the baby would be fussy in the car and I would turn on the cd and WOW, it would calm us both down!!! If you do not like the Beatles then there is others like it, like the Elvis for babies. Same idea.

My husband and I are both musicians and huge Beatles fans. We were so happy to get this CD as a gift and our baby son loves it! Granted - its not "The Beatles" as we know them, but its a great introduction to their timeless songs done in soft, gentle tones - perfect for a babies sensitive ears! We definately plan to introduce our son to the "real thing" as he gets older, but this CD is a perfect way to help him start appreciating "good music" - and a CD that Mom and Dad don't mind listening to either. Don't listen to the naysayers... there is nothing wrong with the gentle "muzak" format of this CD -- and this is coming from a rock and roll musician!!!

I first heard this CD in a novelty shop about 3 years ago. Later, when I had a new little one, this was the first album we went searching for. Our 2 year old loves this music and has been listening to it every day for the last 18 months. The tunes are Beatles, but the style is definetly lullaby. If you are expecting rock n roll sounds, skip it. But if you want soothing music with a familiar tune, try this on your babies!

This music isn't annoying like other lullaby music we've tried. My husband and I actually like it since we like the Beatles so much. We play this constantly when my son sleeps, it relaxes him and he likes it as well.

This CD is fabulous. It was played for my grandson every night for about 2 1/2 years and now he is in his 2nd year of violin instruction....he also is a very good hockey player!

I always give the CD as a baby shower gift.

We were introduced to instrumental Beatles music for babies by a friend, and we love it. The music is familiar since everyone knows Beatles songs, and the soft baby versions of the songs are perfect to relax your baby and get them ready for sleep. We love this CD, it's our favorite of all the instrumental Beatles for babies that we have. We keep it playing on repeat when my son is sleeping or napping. And it's not annoying like some lullabies we have heard.

I had heard and enjoyed this music before, and thought what a terrific idea for the lullaby impaired...then I had a baby, and have been searching desperately to find this again, since I am lullaby ignorant! It's not as bad as the other reviewers say, I wonder if maybe their expectations were too adult like and the kids picked up on their disappointment!

We all (Mom, Dad, & baby 4 months) love this CD! Listening and singing the lyrics is fun for all of us. It is a nice change from all of our other lullaby and classical baby CD's. We recommend it highly.

As someone who doesn't have children I was always at a loss at what to give as a baby gift. One day I happened upon this CD and thought it looked cute. I've probably given this nine or ten times now and every single parent has made it a point to tell me that their fussy baby really does settle down when this is on.
