Book Description

July 31, 2004
Sometimes the best birthday gift is the one least expected… The Birthday Gift What does a man give the woman of his dreams for her birthday? Her fantasy, of course. When Amanda admits to her husband that she'd like to be part of a ménage a trios, Jake isn't sure if he could ever share his wife with another man. Then his cousin Patrick comes for a visit... It's In The Cards Catherine Ryan has to find the perfect birthday card for her sister. Instead, she finds a card with the exact image of her fantasy man. She never expected to find a picture of the man of her daydreams...and the man of her erotic nighttime dreams. And she especially never expected that man to come to life! One Thing To Give Lindsay Cunningham's 30th birthday is far from happy for her. Tired of always being meek, she picks up a man in a bar for a wild night of uninhibited sex. The night was much more than simply sex for Sam McKeifer. He wants a future with Lindsay. Now he has to convince her the only thing he wants her to give him is her heart. Unexpected Finding a spaceship with a little purple alien inside wasn't on Linc Carter's birthday wish list. Holding that alien in his arms is the best present he ever received. Chandra knows nothing about this strange world, its language or customs. She knows how she feels when she's in Linc's arms and she doesn't want that to change. Maybe crashing on this planet hadn't been a mistake after all... Review quotes for Happy Birthday Baby 4 Stars! "Happy Birthday, Baby offers a potpourri of sizzling hot romances. 5.0 out of 5 stars Go Baby, It's your Birthday!, October 18, 2006
By
This review is from: Happy Birthday, Baby (Paperback)
The Birthday Gift- Amanda's husband Jake is absolutely amazing, something she becomes even more aware of when he gives her a surprize birthday gift- her ultimate secret sex fantasy. Luckily, Jake's cousin Patrick is in town and is the perfect man to help fulfill her every desire.

It's in the Cards- When Catherine shops for her sister's birthday card, she stumbles upon a card containing a picture of her dream man. Imagine her surprize when the card magically comes to life.

One Thing to Give- For Lindsay's 30th birthday, she decides to go after exactly what she wants- one night with the sexiest bartender she's ever met. So, what's a girl to do when the guy wants more than she thinks she can give?

Unexpected- Linc's birthday usually passes by without much notice, especially since he prefers to spend it alone at his cabin. The spaceship that crashes in front of his truck was not exactly part of his plan. A curious little alien turns into the woman of his dreams and maybe this year he'll receive the greatest birthday gift- true love.

These 4 "quickies" by Lynn LaFleur are all 5 star stories. I loved each of them, and have moved this author to my must buy list. Each novella in this collection is very satisfying and intensely hot! I am still fairly new to Romantica and Ellora's Cave, but loved every minute of this book. Buy it- You WON'T be disappointed!

3.0 out of 5 stars Some Stories Better Than Others, June 27, 2011
This review is from: Happy Birthday, Baby (Paperback)
All the books were pretty short, some were definately better than others. (I don't do long reviews so sorry if that's what you wanted).

The Birthday Gift- It was ok...not a lot of outstanding detail. I've read a lot of menage books better than this. This involved a short-term menage with the husband's relative; I couldn't really see that happening.

It's in the Cards- This was really sweet. Kane is sent to her for a small amount of time. Only Catherine can see him. I would have liked this story to be a little longer at the end.

One Thing to Give- Linday meets Sam, they hook-up and are separated. Through fate and friends they are reunited again.

Unexpected- This story was my least favorite and not because of the alien concept (I read Jaid Black's Trek Mi Q'an series). It just wasn't very outstanding. If it were by itself, I wouldn't have bought the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy Birthday, Baby, March 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Happy Birthday, Baby (Paperback)
This book is great whether it is your birthday or not. It is a great way to think about spending it though. In the birthday card: Catherine goes looking for a card for her sisters birthday and ends up getting a surprise of her own. She is the one person who can help break the curse on Kane. It is a great erotic story of finding someone to truly love and what you do with it once you have it. In One thing to give: Lindsay is looking for a one-night stand that is all she believes that her heart has to give. However in one night Sam realizes that that is just not enough for him and he wants more. However finding and convincing Lindsay that this is something worth fighting for is the only thing worth going for. Lindsay gets her birthday wish but if Sam has his way they are going to have a whole lot more. In Unexpected: Linc heads to his cabin to get away from his real life as a computer tech for just a bit. Along the way he sees a spaceship fall to earth. Inside is an alien who transforms into the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. though she is beautiful Linc can't get past the fact that she isn't from here and he should stay away from her. Chandra now nothing when she first awakes after the accident all she knows is her body has changed and she has a strong attraction to Linc. And as the old saying goes why fight attraction. It is a great story of love and acceptance. In The birthday gift: Jake loves his wife Amanda with all his heart but wants to fulfill her fantasy so when his cousin (who could be his twin) shows up for a visit he has the perfect plan. Give his wife the most perfect birthday present by fulfilling her fantasy of 2 men. it is truly erotic and shows how true love means giving the person you love what they want most.
