This children's book is aimed at young kids learning to read. It has large type that doesn't overrun the pictures, so young eyes can focus clearly on the words. Simple vocabulary and a fun topic (eaking cake at a birthday party!) makes this a fun book for a preschooler's library.

My grandson began enjoying this book when he was 9 months old. He's now 15 months old and needs a new copy, because his copy has been read so many times. He loves to turn the pages while we read the book to him and loves to pretend to read it out loud to himself. Bert, Ernie, Grover, and Big Bird are part of the party-scene. The story line is great and the illustrations hold a toddler's interest.

My little man loves this book! I have since tried to find another Sesame Street book as good, but they're all too complex- with pics or words. This one is perfect for his age.
