About the Author

Sandra Boynton is the beloved author and illustrator of more than forty books, with nineteen million of them in print.  Since 1975, her well-known greeting cards have sold more than a hundred million copies, “mostly to family and friends,” she says. She was the recipient of the 2008 Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award, the National Cartoonists Society's highest honor.
 
Boynton is also a Grammy-nominated record producer and songwriter. Her music video “Be Like a Duck” won WNET’s (New York City’s public television station) weekly competition for best indie short in November 2009. Sandra lives, works, and goofs off in the foothills of the Berkshires with her husband, whitewater racer/expeditionist Jamie McEwan, and their four perfect children.

Sandra Boynton is a popular American humorist, songwriter, children's author and illustrator. Boynton has written and illustrated more than forty books for both children and adults, as well as over four thousand greeting cards, and four music albums. I've been reading Sandra Boynton to my son since he was born and we just love her work! This is another in the series of Little Pookie, a great character that helps little guys (or girls) figure out how to express feelings. Sandra Boynton can write for a child while still amusing adults. Get this one for your little Pookie for his/her birthday. You won't regret it.
