4.0 out of 5 stars adorable happy lucky cat
I have the green version of this product that my friend got me from Japan when he visited. I absolutely love it. I asked him to get me a maneki neko and this is what he brought back. I have the green version of this product that my friend got me from Japan when he visited. I absolutely love it. I asked him to get me a maneki neko and this is what he brought back. It is absolutely adorable. The only problem I have with it is it needs very direct light. It doesnt work with just ambient room lighting. It actually needs to sit in sunlight or relatively bright lamp light. But considering it wasnt very expensive for me I dont have a problem with that. It makes me smile to look at it so I think its great!

4.0 out of 5 stars Solar Happy Cat Gets Tired, April 5, 2009
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Happy Cat, Solar Powered #290001 (Toy)
I have the lavender and pink version which was purchased at Shirokiya at the Ala Moana mall in Honolulu. As much as I love her, she annoys me when her arm and head don't move in sync. At the mall they had dozens of them all working in unison. Was there an unseen light aimed directly at the family? I wish I could read the Japanese instructions to see if there was any way to reallign her. When put in direct sun she is quite active but in ambient light she acts very tired and then gets a burst of energy before getting sleepy again.

Are there any experts that know the secrets of Hidamari no Tami care?

A very pretty cat, and unlike some solar powered products it works very well and seems to be durable. Excellent design and movement.
