it's really cool to hear your favorite bands sing holiday songs! i'd buy the CD just for a few laughs at these strange versions of wintertime songs!

i've never heard a better christmas album than this one. it is very upbeat and the sound is very appealing, especially if you like rock or ska.

This rocking CD is a must have for all Alternative Music fans. The Supertones put the "JOY" back into "Joy To the World" with their ska version of this classic tune. Some notable new tunes are a grunge sounding "Evergreen" by Switchfoot and 80's influenced "Asia Minor" by Fold Zandura both of which are very good.

Two skips are "Heaven's Got A Baby" by Sarah Masen and "Holly Jolly Christmas" by Bon Voyage. These two just don't match the feel of the rest of the CD. However, they are no reason to pass up the whole.

They saved the best for last with "Saviour of the Fools" by Puller. So sad to see this band break up, because this song is incredible! Soulful lyrics mix with driving guitar lines to produce an unforgettable song.

I highly recommend!

Finally, Christmas music with an edge! I think we all needed that. What more is there to say?

Actually this is the only Christmas cd (except for Harry Connick Jr.) that I will ever listen to. If it weren't for this cd, I would still be bitter about all holiday music. In fact, we look forward to the holiday season just to have an excuse for this album. The best song--Brian McSweeney, formerly of Seven Day Jesus, singing O Holy Night. It is a great rendition. Everyone needs to own this cd. It is creative and festive. Other greats are Switchfoot's Evergreen, of course, Five Iron Frenzy with a ska (a much better I might add) version of You Gotta Get Up and one of the most creative, Mele Kalikimaka by One Eighty. The whole thing is great. Go out and by it today.

There's only one song on here worth listening to because the rest of the CD is crap, but it's worth buying this cd for that one song. The song is O Holy Night; it's beautiful, stirring and magical, and moving. You won't be able to stop listening to it, especially during this time of year.
