Auction King was one of the Best Shows Now they Are Off? Because all they show are Pawn Stars All day Long-- I like Pawn Stars But the Re Runs have Become too Much & Storage Wars Re Runs from Last Year Over & Over too Much of a Good Thing Please Producers think of Us and Mixed it up With Auction Kings & the Other Auction Type Shows!

I randomly caught an episode of Auction Kings one night on Discovery and instantly became hooked. The 30 minute show revolves around Paul Brown, Gallery 63 owner, where most of the show takes place. His staff includes the hilarious Cindy, the office manager and Paul's sidekick. Jon & Delfino round out the cast as the new picker of treasures and the fix-it guy. People can either bring in auction items or Gallery 63 will go and pick up items. Interesting items for the auction include a first edition Great Gastby, a 1960's pink cadillac, a vampire killing kit from the 18th century, and a hot air balloon with included ride over Atlanta. Paul brings in appraisers and experts to authenticate items. Then the show really becomes like a roller coaster esp. when the auction gets started with bids flying everywhere. Loved the show so much I nearly bought the entire season. Hope there is a season 2!

A kooky cast of characters. I learn a lot of history in the process, and the value of items. I've never been to an auction, but now I know to sell, you'd better research and find an auction that specializes in your item. Also see now why great deals are available to buyers. Also love shows based in the south. I live in Washington State, and it's like a different country!

I'm really enjoying this series - unlike some other collectibles/buying/trading shows that I've seen, i.e., Texas Storage Wars, these folks are Nice, Humorous and so far, mostly Clean (with their mouths). Just finished Season 1, Ep 4 and truly hope that they continue focusing on the Items For Bid rather than drama that so many other shows like this use as a crutch to draw in 'reality show drama' watchers; I watch for the items and I'm glad I've grown to like these people as a bonus! SOLD!

I love this show. It is a fun show to watch and the stories behind the thing people bring in to auction. It is surprising sometimes what people will pay a lot of money for and what stuff goes for cheap.

Just interesting to see the variety of items folks bring by - and what they are willing to pay for some of them at the auction toward the end of the show. They do use 'experts' to authenticate unique antiques, signatures, etc. and provide an auction estimate. Those folks always have some interesting information to impart!

Great Show. Very unique finds. My only disappointment is that the owner is not an auctioneer. I think it would be a more entertaining show if he were engaging the audience by being the actual auctioneer.
