The little boy with the unfortunate nickname returns in a fifth book, this time with questions about Halloween. As before, Stinky Face is full of what-ifs. What if Mrs. Petry gets so scared by the costumed boy and his friends that she spills the candy? What if a friend's butterfly costume turns her into a real butterfly and she flies up to the sky? Mom, of course, has answers to everything, but when the boy starts wondering if he should change his costume to superhero or firefighter, the answer is clear: this year he'll stick to his ghost costume. Books about Halloween always offer plenty of opportunity for creative art, and this is no exception. Although the story concept is a little tired, the fall-colored ink-and-watercolor paintings are full of detailed fun as they pair imagination with reality. I LOVE all the Stinky Face books!!!! I have a little boy and think these books are the best for little guys. I now give these for shower and birthday gifts because they are so cute, so sweet and when reading it you can hear the little boy in your mind asking those types of questions to his mother. A MUST BUY

As a parent, i only ever knew about the original I love you Stinky Face book. It was my daughters favorite book and i would become tired of reading the same book all day long so i was delighted to discover that there were other Stinky Face books for her to enjoy. She loves this halloween one and has now added this to her original stinky face book for bedtime reading.

I personally love the Stinky Face series ... my 2-year-old son hasn't quite gotten that interested in them yet. But as a mom, I think the story line is really sweet and heartwarming and the illustrations are great.
