Happy Hamster with Wheel Runner

Since there is a history of hamsters in my life, my sisters (both adults, as am I) thought it would be a great laugh to send me the Hamster Runs inthe Wheel. It was! At first glance it looks alive. It will also scoot along the floor and bounce off of furniture. No feeding. No cleanup. A wonderful pet.

I ordered this as a joke for a friend, not expecting much really. But it actually works and is very cute. I don't know who would normally buy this, but for me it was a perfect gag gift. The hard part is reaching in to turn him off. But other than that, it works great.

This toy hamster is a great alternative to a real hamster, my children love it! And you don't have the icky mess of cleaning up after a real hamster!

I purchased this for my friend since she's unable to keep a real pet alive, and i figure this just needs batteries. In any case for the price of under $3.00 i felt this was a steal. It's pretty easy to setup, get out of the box and use. You have to pull the battery compartment out via the velcro and use a screwdriver to put in a battery. If there is a negative, i'd say it's the fact it's a screwdriver to take out the battery vs. say using a tab or your hands.

The hamster itself has uneven wheels which then makes it walk or waddle like a real thing. You can actually take it out of the hamster wheel and let it run on the carpet/floor and it will waddle around in a cute way.

At work everyone we showed loved it and posted videos or pictures on facebook to show how fun it was. One coworker loved it so much she had me buy 30 more to giveaway at a kids birthday party.

The Hamster Wheel Runner makes an excellent gag gift for the workaholic or for the person who feels stressed out at their job. Just set it on your desk and turn it on. It is surprisingly relaxing to watch the hamster diligently working the wheel and a good reminder of what is really important in life, FUN!

Nice design of the wheel and the hamster is cute and more realistic than the Zhu Zhu hamsters. My only criticism is about the way you have to put in the batteries. You will need a small screwdriver and a degree of dexterity to remove the tiny screws to open the battery compartment.

bought as a joke for a friend, as we have felt like endlessly running hamsters at work. not sure how long this would last for a kid that was actually going to play with it, but it served its purpose beautifully for me.

I bought 4 of these hamster toys for Christmas presents. My son received one and is pretty rough with it and it's still holding up great! It's like having a pet without the mess and loads of fun. My son is 19 months old so he only gets to play with it when I'm watching but again, he throws it around, etc. and it's very durable!!!

THIS IS FUN FOR ALL AGES. YOU AND THE KIDS WILL LOVE IT. IT ALSO STOP THE NEED FOR A REAL HAMSTER!!!

This is a really cute toy! It's as close to the real thing as possible. Just to caution you, read the directions for installing the batteries! If you open the wrong screw, you break the hamster. You must hold the hamster at the top by the fur and pull down the plastic part underneath. You will see at the top (which was originally covered the body of the hamster, a screw...that's where the battery goes. I purchased this at the shore for $10 and need a replacement quick, cause my son was upset that mommy broke it. I was happy to find it at Amazon for 80% less than what I paid!

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. The little pet is poorly made& came broken. It is not even worth returning.
